R** [redacted] I was looking for a place to stay in Kona, Big Island, and I found a nice place to stay with my girlfriendat least it looked great in the website [redacted] It promised a "Lanai and spa" with hot tub and many other amenities like a tea house After a long day of flying, driving to the volcano, etc and finally arriving at pm to check in, we were looking forward for a relaxing and needed time in the hot tubjust to find it all dirty, full of leaves, a pile of sand next to it , not functioning for months So after a shower - not the same- we tried to sleep just to have staff members hanging out on the balcony of the next room, making noise and drinking until late we had nowhere else to stay and was already well past pm, so slept with earplugs! I talked in person about it but I was told that the hot tub "just broke" - which is a lie, green algae does not grow overnight, and SHOULD NOT be in the website if you can't offer itadvertising I emailed them several times after I returned home but NO ANSWER Note that "hale maluhia" means "house of peace", and is run by some "reverend", Well, I did not see peace and the business and advertising practices are far from the best Aloha ***, you are so right, and I am so very sorry that this is the first e-mail contact that I have seen from you? We have been having a fit trying to find the leak in our Hot Tub for some time now and we finally found it, it was a root growing into the tub along side of a pvc water pipe So we cut the tree down, removed the stump and found the root and were working on getting the root out So we have not been keeping the tub up to speed during the root leak issue I put up a "Down For Repair" notices up on our publicity but it appears that we missed some some pages on the Internet and you are so right, we owe you an apology and a refund of ??? As to the "Drinking" bunch I think it was one of our staff and the rest were some friends or guests and he is no longer with us I assure you that the Tub is on top of our list now as the leak now seems fixed we are doing our best to get it all working again properly So let us know what a fare compensation would need to feel OK and we will do it Best Regards, Ken< owner
