I am deeply saddened by this situation and wish it were something within my controlWe do extensive genetic health testing on ALL of our breeding dogs and offer a guarantee for what we can test forEven with testing a health issue can still arise, which is the most frustrating thing when you do your due diligence and health test your dogs
We cannot guarantee what is not knownWe cannot guarantee more then what science and medicine understandsThere are random issues that have no explanation or environmental factors that play a role in a disease of the development of themEpilepsy is one of themAbout 10% of all dogs have it and they do not know whyUnfortunately, there are variables in life that our out of our control
I have included our contract and application we received from Mr***, which clearly indicates what is covered and included in our health guaranteeIt is signed and initialed indicating it was read and they agree to our policiesThis is always done prior to placement of our babies so if there are any questions or something is unclear, it can be address before we move forward and a puppy goes homeAgain, I am saddened not only for our baby Curly but that the *** are unhappy with me and feel I am unethicalI take great pride in what I do, my reputation and my babies and this is disappointing on all levels for everyone involved

Hale's Labradoodle's advertises a (2) year Genetic Health Guarantee on their websiteOur contract for Curly, which was never signed by the seller, contained a bullet point that stated a puppy would be replaced if it had PRA (eyes) or Hip DysplasiaI cannot believe this bullet point is the full extent of the advertised Genetic Health Guarantee
Their website advertises that "all of our Australian Labradoodles born and bred here at Hale's Australian Labradoodles come from the best breeding stock"Hale's Labradoodles are able to sell their puppies at a premium price because they advertise quality dogs that have excellent healthHale's Labradoodles sold us an epileptic puppyWe feel it is very reasonable to ask that our $2,purchase price (or a portion of) be refunded

In response to the complaint, I have provided all of the information listed in the complaintIt indicates all things were in order and covers the health guarantee, what is defined in receiving one, that it was signed and initialed but Mr***, prior to receiving his pooch and that his issue, is not a covered occurrenceIt clearly shows the information and contract were read, signed and understood prior to taking the puppy homeAgain, I am saddened for the situation and wish we were not in this situationIt is an unfortunate event but not one I am responsible for
