MrWes B*** dropped off his Sun Tracker originally on 5/15/He was looking for welding work on his pontoonsWe do not weld here at Hales Marine Service, so we sub contracted out Budget Mobile Welding to complete the work they were looking to get doneThe boat was at our shop, but we were
never notified that there was a cover in the boat from the customerWe have about other boats in our lot at all times that are rotating in and out for work at a constant speedOur lot is outdoors, except for our shop and since we were not doing any mechanical repairs for MrBuckley, there was no reason to move the boatIf a customer requests for their boat to be covered, that is noted in their work order, and completed right away Once MrBuckley dropped off his boat, he spoke with one of our technicians to complete a work order, and signed itThe work order clearly states that “Hales Marine Service is not responsible for any loss or damage to any watercraft, motors or trailers, or any articles left in the watercraft in case of fire, theft, accident, or any other cause beyond our control”Please see the rest in attachmentThank you

It does not matter the age of the boat The upholstery minus one tear on it was in perfect condition upon dropping it off to Hales Marine Services And it does not matter that they say they are not liable for damages I get it if there was a huge storm and damage was done to my boatI would have taken it in and had it fixed through my insurance But this was NEGLIGENCE on their part by not covering my boat and they know that It is not the welder's fault as he was only there a few days Its funny because the first time I spoke with Ed he told me that nobody ever got on my boat so nobody could have caused that damage and the next time I spoke with him he told me we didn't have a cover on the boat Our cover never leaves our boat He always has a new story to tell And he is never there He was not there on the Saturday I picked it up I had the specific conversation with the lot attendant I asked him why the cover was only on my back cushions and he said because there were not any bungee cords and I pointed to three spots on my boat where there were bungee cords.I said that is why my boat was there again because you all failed to cover it the first time it was there and you failed to cover it again I DID NOT say it was your job to supply them But if you were not competent enough to open your eyes and see them on the boat then you should have picked up the phone and called the owner instead of causing more sun burn damage to my boat the second time it was on your lot I am not in the wrong and it won't cost $to fix it, maybe the back seats but all of the seats are sunburn I have pictures the day before we took it to them and the day we picked it up as well as pictures of how we store it Ed failed to show his upholstery guy what my seats looked like prior to them having it at their lot for two weeksIt was beautiful You do not damage people's property and think it is ok That is NOT how you run a business Ed!
