The leasing consultant and apartment manager are never in the office,never answer phone while in the office
The office is closed during hours that they are suppose to be open. Like today there was a sign up saying they would be back at 2:15, go back and its a sign that says OPEN but door is locked. I went to go pickup a package yesterday and no one was willing to make time to search for it. Most of the time maintenance comes & knocks on your door one time and leaves after putting in a request. The grounds are horrible, trash everywhere. There is a pole light out in the parking lot which makes it pitch black dark that have reported but Creekside Landing has not.

Desired Outcome

These issues need to be addressed, the apartment team***. I'm just simply filing a complaint against them.

When Ms. came to the office looking for a package, the office was closed. Our Assistant Manager was the only person there that day and had left for lunch. When Ms. returned for a package there was no package delivered to the office for her. She was upset as we did not have a package at that time.

Many residents track packages and in cases when it's not at the office they expect for us to tell them where the package is. In most cases, carriers will confirm delivery once they arrive to the property but have not yet brought the package to the office or they leave the package at the resident's door. We accept packages on behalf of residents as a courtesy and apologize that we cannot provide specific answers as to the exact location of their package when they come into the office. We must defer them directly to the carrier.

Ms. is correct that we are not always in the office. Creekside Landing is a two-person office. If there is only one person in the office, we close the office to conduct tours on property, walk apartments, go the maintenance office or use the restroom. We always answer the phones during the office hours unless were with a resident or prospect. Also, within the last two weeks we were experiencing issues with the phones lines and had the phone company come and make repairs to our equipment.

I agree with Ms. that trash on the property is ongoing issue. We have residents that are dumping trash on the ground and make no attempt to clean up after themselves. We advise residents that move out to not leave furniture or other large pieces at the dumpster. Residents can call *** or *** to come pick up their unwanted furniture or simply place it in the blue roll off dumpster by the office.

As the Community Manager of Creekside Landing, I have made many attempts to reduce the amount of trash left throughout our community. I have sent out emails to the community about the trash. Residents have been charged for leaving trash out on the grounds. I have brought in additional resources to clean the grounds. We have even had a community clean up to get the residents involved in cleaning up the community where I provided food and made it a fun event. Even with all of these attempts to keep the property clean, this is a daily struggle. Should you see anyone leaving trash throughout the community, please email us a picture so we can address the it directly with the resident.

The light poles on our community are owed and maintained by Duke Energy. This light had been reported to Duke Energy (Ref# ***) for replacement. Should you have any other problems with the lighting, you can also call Duke Energy directly at 800-777-9898.

First of all I have never gone to the office and asked for a package & didn't have one so that's a lie. I went to the office over a week ago to pick up a package nobody acted like they could assist me so I left. The next day I came & like I said there was a sign on the door at 1:30pm that said will be back at 2:15pm. I go back at 2:30pm & the office has an OPEN sign on it but the door was locked. And I have personally sat in my car and called that office & nobody has answered and seen office staff in there.So office staff needs to stop lying, because I only come to the office to pick up a package when it says delivered, I am very aware on how to track a package.If the office is not gonna be open when people need their packages then they need to not have package left in the office. And perhaps office hours need to be changed because they a definitely not open during those hours.

Dear Ms.,

The package issue does not happen all the time, but it has. We understand that it was frustrating and are sorry that had happened. You are correct that there are other options to obtain packages. For example, one can have their items shipped and held at the *** office or pick up their package directly from the store. They have counters agents on duty to handle that specifically.

I wish I could promise you that we are always in the office but that would not be true. In our profession, our responsibilities take us out of the office during office hours to conduct tours, inspect apartments, deliver notices, and assist our residents' concerns. We do have a backup answering service to assist us. Residents can also email us or submit non-emergency work orders directly online.
