Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, Ned [redacted]

Jake ( [redacted] ***) as been to the property to look at the driveway several times and explained to the [redacted] s on several occasions that the flaking on their driveway has nothing to do with the concrete itself (and generally flaking has nothing to do with the concrete itself) but rather the lack of... eve spouts on the garage. The moisture dripping on the concrete before it had a chance to cure has caused the top layer to flake. Jake also did not notice any pop outs on the driveway that he can remember. We are not now and will not give any refund or credit to this customer as the concrete is serving its purpose just fine. We believe in customer satisfaction but we can not replace concrete for issues that we are not at fault for.

The home owner (Ned) was spoken to every time he called weather it was at the time of the call or a call was returned and before or after Jake went to look at the driveway both times. The first time no one was home and Ned was called and then wanted Jake to go back over to explain to his wife what he told Ned. Every time we talk to him his wife then calls and acts like no one was contacted. That is a communication issue between the customers not with this company. If there was an issue with the driveway that was our fault we would have no problem resolving the issue and we have in the past for other customers. We have even replaced concrete that contractors did a bad job with because we did not want our name on it but we feel neither of these fit this situation and we will not be doing any work or replacing anything. Concrete business in our area is very competitive so of course asking another company will place blame with us. The customer was informed about the issue of the eve spouts and also that the sealer was put on much to thick and very unevenly, we also noted a spot in the driveway that appeared to be damaged from a snow blower or chain of some sort. The customer believes that it was poor quality of rock that is at fault but that can not be the case because no one else who had work done in the same time frame is having these issues. The rock all comes from the same place and if there was an issue with one there would be with more. We have only ever had one issue with bad aggregate and that was in the fall of  2013. The issue was caught right away and anything that needed to be done to make that issue right with customers has been done.  Never once have we tried to place blame with the contractor. He is a contractor we do a lot of work with and he does a fantastic job. We do not run from issues such as these and we stand behind our product but we can not do anything for this situation as it has nothing to do with product quality on our end. Our rock is state approved and our concrete breaks much over the PSI being sold for. The last conversation Jake had with Danielle was that if the concrete got worse after the winter they were to call so we could re evaluate. We have not heard from them since the fall so we are going to assume that it has not gotten worse. If they have any further issues they have both our office number and Jakes cell number and they are more than welcome to call us at anytime. This will be our final response through the Revdex.com and the [redacted]s can contact us directly if they have experienced further issues since the fall.
