I greeted [redacted] in the showroom on 5/2/16, she was having some issues with the vehicle that she had purchased from our dealership previously. She went on to tell me how the vehicle had stalled and had been towed to several different repair facilities to be diagnosed. I think the first was to Pioneer...

Ford in Platteville, WI. They were unable to diagnose her concern. It ended up at our service dept. for the same issue. We had the vehicle for several days, one of our senior Ford Factory trained technicians drove [redacted]s Explorer for several days trying to get the vehicle to act up. He was not able to duplicate her concern. When she returned on 5/6/16 to talk to our service manager about it and pick-up the Explorer she inquired about trading the vehicle in because she didn’t trust the Explorer. She asked what her Explorer would be worth on trade, at this point I didn’t offer a value, our process for appraising a vehicle requires that we have a vehicle they are interested in purchasing and we present all the numbers as part of a purchase option.  I then offered to see if we had a vehicle in-stock that met her needs and fit her budget. We talked about several of her wants and needs and I showed her the 2013 Nissan Rogue. We went for a 10 mile test drive and at the end I asked if she liked the vehicle, she stated she did and would purchase if it fit her budget. I then got our used vehicle appraiser to get a trade value for me so I could show [redacted] how this Nissan might work with her budget.   I then went over the offer to trade her Explorer on the Nissan Rogue. I have attached the Presentation sheet (labeled Hummel Numbers Presentation) that I used to go over the numbers with [redacted]. As you can see the $4,000 trade value is Clearly listed on the sheet along with all the numbers used to present the offer.  This sheet is part of my process of presenting an offer to any customer. The attachment marked Hummel hand written contract is the contract that I used to write up the purchase, as you can see the trade value of $4,000 is clearly listed as are the rest of the purchase numbers on the contract which I go over line by line with the customer before I have them sign and then get introduced to our Business Manager, Sandy. Sandy would then fill in all the taxes, title, and license fees, and then go over the contract line by line again. The third attachment labeled Hummel printed contract, was then printed and gone over again line by line with [redacted]. I find it very hard to believe that she didn’t hear or understand what she was getting for her trade. I presented the offer line by line and we discussed how the fuel economy of the Rogue was going to save her money every month based on better MPGs. [redacted] did call the next day about the trade value but at this point she had accepted our offer and the paperwork and delivery had happened the previous day. When [redacted] had gone that evening 5/6/16 I truly believed that we had found a very good solution to her vehicle issue, and needs. She seemed very happy with the purchase of the Nissan Rogue. I certainly hope the Nissan works out for [redacted] as we never want to see people have issues with vehicles that they purchase from us. We always want our customers to feel that they have received a great value when doing business with us. We would like to see [redacted] back for regular maintenance on her Nissan! Thanks, Nick KlaasHallada Motors

The bottom line is Hallada sold me a lemon in 2015.  They should have made that right with me and did not did. The contact I signed for the new car 2013 Nissian was signed under duress.  The trade in amount was never discussed with me before it was added to the contract.I will take this further and now contact Consumer Protection agency.

I stopped at Hallada Chevy in Dodgeville. Ted [redacted] asked me what I was looking for. I told him that Chevy Impala's were in the top 10 in consumer reports and I would like to see what they had. He showed me 2, one white, one red. I have wanted a red car and it being an impala too, I was sold before I drove it. Of course, I drove it and loved it. We signed papers that very day and I picked it up on the following Monday. Ted was very helpful explaining all the features that it offered and the fact he had what I was looking for right away. It was a great experience. I would recommend Hallada's in Dodgeville.
