Review: [redacted] came into my home in NH in January 2013 to change my duplex into a one family home. He was hired to gut the apartment put in drywall ceilings and walls, put in electric, put in new doors on three rooms and 3 closet doors, and put in stairs connecting the two homes. He started out working 3-4 days a week about 6 hours a day, and he ended working only 1 day every couple weeks about 2 hours. This is May 2013 and the project is still not done. [redacted] has moved back to CT and has texted me to have the job finished and send him a bill. He has not put in the closet doors, finished the trim, and the trim on the stairs. That is not the biggest problem though. The biggest problem is the quality of his work. The walls and ceilings should be as smooth as sheets of glass. You can see just about every seam! My ceilings have huge ridges! The putty needs to still be sanded, the trim is cut short in lots of places, nail holes in trim do not have wood putty, the trim on the stairs is split where he nailed nails too far, the trim is falling off the walls, the outside light doesn't work anymore, and so much more. He promised that once things were done that we would do a walk through and if there were any problems he would fix them. Instead he took my money and left. I have gotten two estimates from new contractors to finish and repair this work and it is more money then I have sitting around.

I am asking that due to the fact that I have to hire a new contractor to rip out a lot of the work that [redacted] did and redo it that he refund me $5,000, this is the minimum that a contractor is saying the work will cost me. It will probably be more, but if [redacted] agrees to refund this, I will consider this matter resolved.

Consumer indicated they have heard from the company, but the issue has not been resolved. Comments follow below:

[redacted]'s wife has texted me saying he will be here the second week of June to "see" his bad work. I am very doubtful he will and if he doesn't, I will file in court on the third week.

Still have not seen [redacted] or heard from him. His wife had texted he would be here the second week of June and he is still not here, I will give it until Friday and then will have to go to court and file against him.
