This letter is in response to a complaint against River Crossing Apartments ID # [redacted] by Customer [redacted] F [redacted] on 6/15/Below is a timeline of the facts regarding the [redacted] ’s and Apartment [redacted] as recorded in their lease file.06/03/ [redacted] ’s application was approved A $non refundable administrative fee was paid by the [redacted] s.06/04/Informed [redacted] move in date would be 11thShe was upset and asked that we rush the turn because she is living in hotel rooms with familyWe told her that upon her request we can move her in move in date to 06/08/ 06/06/ [redacted] ’s signed their lease.06/08/ [redacted] stated that due to family emergency that the move in date would have to revert back to the 11th.On 06/10/ [redacted] , River Crossing Leasing Agent, walked the unit and displayed new move in gift in the kitchenLights were on, and she stated that there was not any odor.On 06/11/ [redacted] ’s moved in [redacted] and [redacted] did the walk throughBrokers were flipped off which caused the apartment to get heated and stuffy [redacted] agreed with [redacted] that there was a pet odor in the air [redacted] scheduled A Plus to do a carpet deo & pet treatment [redacted] informed [redacted] that A Plus would be there first thing the next morning [redacted] was happy and thanked [redacted] Besides the pet odor there was no verbal or non-verbal suggestion from [redacted] that she was unhappy with the unit in any way.06/12/ [redacted] stated she was not happy with the condition of the apartmentManagement offered to replace the carpet, but [redacted] stated she would like to release possession of the apartment and have her money backHer money was refunded The $administration fee is a non refundable fee; however, because Management agreed that the carpet was in poor condition and should have been replaced, management processed the $on 6/16/to be refundedThe [redacted] ’s will receive the $within two weeks.We are in agreement that Mrs [redacted] was not happy and we refunded her money and went over and processed the non refundable fee to be returned to herWe do not agree that the apartment was in a bad condition other than the carpet was questionableThe apartment had been freshly painted, and the maintenance team had worked in the apartment for two + days, doing their turn-key work, putting the apartment in make ready conditionDue to these facts, we find it unreasonable that Mrs [redacted] is asking for us to pay for her hotel room and respectfully decline this requestSincerely, [redacted] ***Area Vice PresidentJARS, LLC###-###-#### (Cell)###-###-#### (Fax)
