Hallmark Floor

We hired Hallmark Floors in November 2014 to refinish hardwood floors in 3 rooms. All floors were covered by carpeting. We were promised a team of workers, but only 1 Hallmark Floor rep. came, with a gruff attitude. First, he did not cover/protect house as promised. After all work was done on third day, the worker, [redacted], told us belt sander was not working properly but he didn't stop to fix. This resulted in grooves, burn marks, & swirls in ALL rooms. One corner of the third bedroom needed new hardwood. This was not done properly, not level or supported. When questioned, [redacted] said he is not a contractor. He didn't call office for help. He rushed through each day. The sander bags were emptied in the rooms, not outside, resulting in excess dust. The stain was not spread evenly in all 3 rooms, worst in 3rd bedroom. We had stains covering on molding in all 3 rooms because the worker just didn't care. The salesperson, [redacted], called after job complete & we told her we were extremely unhappy with the work. She sent [redacted] to our house. He acknowledged poor work and said he would get back to us. We never heard from anyone at Hallmark Floors for over 3 months. We put a stop payment on credit card, still no response. The credit card co. never heard from Hallmark to resolve the issue & issued us a full credit. The owner, [redacted], finally called at the end of March 2015. He claimed he was not made aware of problems. He & his son came & looked at floors, promised to fix. Once again, we never heard from Hallmark Floors until we called in May 2015. To date, Hallmark Floors has never made any effort to undo the damages to our floors.
We want other consumers to be aware that this is not a reputable company. There is no quality of workmanship. Most importantly, there is no customer service. We were extremely displeased with job, there were obvious damages, yet Hallmark Floors made no effort to correct.
