Owner misrepresented the vehicle description. He used a false window sticker to show options that were not included on the vehicle.Hallum Motors represented a 2013[redacted], VIN [redacted], as a 10th Anniversary[redacted]. Hallum Motors listed this vehicle on[redacted], listing 131258275998, as well as their own website. Both listings had the same description which included a "window sticker, as described by the dealer as the "original window sticker". The listing, as well as the window sticker, stated that this vehicle was a 10th Anniversary Edition complete with heated seats and remote start. I communicated with[redacted] Hallum, the owner, on several occasions about this vehicle, in which he stated it was in fact a 10th Anniversary Edition in very nice condition. I purchased this vehicle based on the dealers comments, description, and what I thought to be an ethical reputation. His website motto is "We Believe in Integrity, Quality and Value". Based on this, I sent an employee to take delivery of this vehicle. Upon paying for and receiving the veh icle, I took the the vehicle in to have it serviced at my local dealership. At that point, I discovered that this[redacted] was in fact not a 10th Anniversary Edition, but a standard[redacted] with some additional options. None of which include heated seats or remote start, let alone some of the other features found on a true 10th Anniversary Edition. I have made several attempts with[redacted]. Hallum to get this resolved but he will not return my calls or emails. I have asked him to pay to have the heated seats and remote start installed or return my funds plus the cost of delivery. I am trying to be fair with Hallum Motors, even though they completely misled me on the description of the vehicle. I have copies of the window sticker he had in his listing along with the entire listing on[redacted].Desired Settlement I would be willing to accept the cost to have the heated seats and remote start installed in the vehicle by local dealer or I will be willing to return the vehicle for a full refund including all actual charges I have incurred with this transaction.Business Response We have been in touch with Mr.[redacted] and remedied the situation. We sent Mr.[redacted] a check for the amount he requested with our apologies for the mistake. I'm sure if you contact Mr.[redacted] he will confirm this information and remove the complaint.

Sold me a car that was advertised as clean car. It ended up being in accident and painted which Mr. [redacted] knew about but lied when selling this car.Product_Or_Service: Used vehicleDesired SettlementI would like my money back and for him to return my car that I traded in. Another option is to pay expenses to get this car into a shape that was promised.Business Response There are people out there that no matter how hard you try, you will never make them happy, and unfortunatly he is one of them, he drove down to my office, test drove this vehicle, inspected it very closely, was very cautious before he agreed to buy it, once he got home someone told him that this vehicle has had some paintwork, if it has I had no idea about it, it has a perfect carfax which I paid for and showed him, his vehicle is under full factory warranty from toyota, he is just having buyers remorse, and there is nothing I can do about that, he had every opportunity not to purchase this car once he got here, I am sorry he isnt happy, he bought a great, low mileage car with full warranty on it. Thanks [redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Mr. [redacted] is person that lies and sells cars that were in accident. From what I read online there are other people that he sold stuff too and cheated them too. Here are couple of links:[redacted]There was a website that was made by one of the buyer but Mr. [redacted] paid people to take that website down. It was bad for his "BAD" selling practices. [redacted]Even when I traded my car for his car I told him that right hand side was painted. Did he mentioned that in his listing anywhere ? No he didn`t. Here is the link to that car:[redacted]What he does he buys cars that need work then somehow he cleans carfax and sells them for profit. He lies to people just like he lied to me. I asked him if car was painted several times, he was saying " or no, there is just some over spray here and there". Also he said paint was checked with paint meter and was fine. So when I drove back to IL, next day I took it to [redacted] who told me that car was painted. So then I took it to dealer to confirm this and they said same thing. They didn`t cover my work under warranty like [redacted] said. I have leaking gasket on driver side door so wanted that to be changed, they said no way because car was hit. I`m stock now with this vehicle for years. Someone has to shut his business down. This is unreal what he does. He also sent me a message saying to leave him alone or get a lawyer. All makes sense why he said that. Please Revdex.com do something here. He has to be stopped and pay for my damages. Thank youFinal Business Response I have no idea why is responding again, asking for the same thing, this customer had buyers remorse, he came down and spent extensive time checking out the vehicle he came to buy, new it had some paintwork, the carfax was clean, and this vehicle is under full warranty from toyota, iknow of nothing to do for this man, he bought it, had every opportunity to change his mind and not buy it, but he did, took it back to illinois and now wants his money back, I have done absolutly nothing wrong here, he new it had had some paintwork, but after close and intensive inspection he decided he would take the car, and did, and there is absolutly nothing else I am doing for him, and I have done absolutly nothing wrong, he should go buy a new car maybe, it shouldnt have any flaws. [redacted]

I want to report H[redacted] motors for the false services that they did to me I too fall for Kent H[redacted] lies and deceiving. On 6/12/15 I purchased a vehicle from Kent H[redacted]. I first saw the eBay listing and follow-up on his website I was really interested in this particular vehicle and call him to discuss about it. I was told from Mr. H[redacted] that vehicle was great and runs good (still have the text message save between Kent and I) and have nothing to worry about it he stressing about it having brand new tires. So I made arrangements to have the vehicle transport to Tennessee. Upon arrival I was very disappointed with it, I also took it to the dealership where they instructed me about problems and issues that vehicle has. I contacted Mr. H[redacted] about my dislikes that he fail to disclose the hidden issues with the vehicle to me, He said that if I don't like my purchase call him the next day so we can make arrangements to get back the vehicle which I did for weeks and he keep blowing me off or not taking my calls at all.. Since then I file a consumer complaints with the Attorney General Of Arkansas which stated he didn't do anything wrong. I am going through the process now search for legal remedies that is available to me, I will not drop this, Kent H[redacted] did this to many folks and need to be stop!!!Desired SettlementRefund or fix these issues on the vehicle Business Response He has reported me to the attorney general of the state of Arkansas about this car, and they sided with me that I had done nothing wrong, so know he is going to you, he bought a nice range rover that was almost 10 years old with over 150,000 miles on it, and he thinks he bought a new car with all he is complaining about, he bought it as is, and he has picked it to death, I am sorry he is unhappy but there is nothing I can do for him. Kent H[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I was told from Mr. Kent H[redacted] that if any issues I could send back this vehicle. I have text messages to prove this, when I try to contact Mr. H[redacted] for arrangements to fix or refund he blow me off and now he stop taking my calls. I have not signed any paperwork of any kind so I did not accept the condition of this vehicle or as you called it "AS IS".. After this transaction,I did some research on the Internet and I noticed that Mr . H[redacted] lies to most of his customers and cheat them. We need stop this business from falsely advisementFinal Business Response As I have stated again and again, he bought a 10 year old vehicle with over 150,000 miles on it AS IS, he really got a nice vehicle for the money, and I hate he is not happy with it, I will be glad to buy the vehicle back again at a discounted price because I know I could easily sell it again for what he paid for it, but I have nothing else to say about this issue, other than I hate he is not happy, but I or my company have done nothing wrong.

We live in Atlanta and bought an Infinity SUV after several calls with Kent H. The pictures of the car were on his website and he described the car as immaculate with nothing wrong with it. He also confirmed that a non-smoker owned the car. We had the car shipped to Atlanta. The first time we started the car a warning popped up on the screen that it needed service and the car was on empty, and we barely had enough gas to get to our gas station. The ash trey was full of tobacco and ashes and smelled terribly. There were also stains on the carpet and trash in many of the pockets of seats and some sticky candy. The remote was also broken for the DVD player. We took the car to our local Infinity dealership and they reported it had never been serviced at an Infinity dealership. We had to get a $700 service done on the car and have it fully detailed. Mr. H. is a nice person but I would be very careful buying a car from Hallum motors.

I was told the vehicle had normal wear and tear. It has been painted poorly.Purchased by wire on 08/13/2014. I bid on the vehicle repeatedly. I asked the seller if the vehicle had been wrecked, damaged or repainted and he directed me to the [redacted] and assured me it had not been wrecked and had no damage other than normal wear for a used car. I ordered my own [redacted] and [redacted] through[redacted] and both came back clear. I had the vehicle inspected by [redacted] and they assured me that it was good mechanically however they do not check for body damage or repair. Mr.[redacted] told me he had been in business since 1992 and it was as good a vehicle as he has ever sold. I completed the purchase and had the vehicle shipped to me in KY. The drive down and back is too much for me and I had bought a vehicle through[redacted] before in 2004 with great success. I received it on the 18th of Aug 2014. Mr.[redacted] wanted me to complete my survey for him as soon as I got the vehicle and I did. After looking it over inside and out I left a good survey for him. That afternoon at work one of my co-worker looked at it and pointed out that it had been damaged and repainted! I told him I was sure it had not because Mr.[redacted] assured me the vehicle had never been damaged and only had usual paint chips from normal use. My co-worker then pointed out the spots where there is overspray on the vehicles rear lights, window gaskets and bumper. I texted Mr.[redacted] and he says he didn't notice any overspray and said the vehicle has a perfect [redacted] history. He suggested that they could have scraped something or had something miner repaired that they just paid for out of their pocket but he assured me it hasn't been in any trouble. I told him I thought if you had any repairs to a vehicle the body shop had to report it. He texted back that "it has to be over a certain amount, usually an insurance claim is what triggers a [redacted], if it is something minor that they paid out of pocket it wouldn't show up, but I can assure you if it were something significant they would have turned in on your insurance. I don't care how deep someone's pockets are, you know they had full coverage and if it were damaged significantly they would have claimed it, you have buyer protection since you bought it through[redacted], so don't worry, and it is completely covered under[redacted]." I took it to[redacted] Body Shop in [redacted], KY yesterday 27 Aug 2014, and he says it has been repaired and repainted. Right rear, back bumper and left rear into the tailgate. The roof has been painted and the sunroof glass is scratched and the gasket around it is scuffed up and damage/gauged out in one spot. I can proved a detailed repair list. This is significant body damage, repair and repaint. I have text from Mr.[redacted] I can provide. Bottom line is I asked repeatedly both in text, through[redacted] and on the phone if the SUV had been damaged and painted because it's [redacted] (dark burgundy) and that color shows every ding and chip. When the paint weathers it will be evident the vehicle has been spot painted. I keep my cars 10 to 12 years. I would not have bought this vehicle if I had been aware. I was repeatedly assured there was no damage to the body or paint. Any dealer who has been in business since 1992 knows a bad paint job! Once you know what you are looking at you realize the vehicle has been damaged and the damages covered up. There has been significant damage! I feel I have been significantly damaged financially!Desired SettlementBuy the vehicle back!Business Response Most of what Ms.[redacted] has stated is true, this is a local, one owner car with a perfect [redacted], I didn't notice any paintwork when I bought the car, but unless they have done a terrible job I wouldn't, she says she talked with someone and said this car had some wind or storm damage that had been repaired, I had no idea of this until she told me, I like her refer back to the [redacted] and the autocheck, and they both are clean on this vehicle, as I told her if it had significant damage I know on a late model vehicle like this someone would have turned in a claim, it is very possible this car could have some preivous paint work, and there is nothing wrong with selling something that has, I think some of her coworkers have put something in her head and I don't think she will be happy with this car with those thoughts in her head, but again I have done nothing wrong, she bought a really nice, low mileage vehicle that has lots of factory warranty remaining on it, and she also got a great deal, I have done nothing to warrant buying this vehicle back, I hate she is unhappy, and I think the only thing to make her happy is to buy the car back and I don't feel I have done anything to warrant that.[redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I finally received the title paperwork on the 20th of Aug even though I sent the wire for payment on the vehicle 13 Aug 2014. I looked the paperwork over on the 20th and wrote the previous owner Mr. and Mrs.[redacted] a letter asking them what repairs where made to the vehicle that involved painting the rear of the vehicle. Remember at this time I thought the vehicle had been scratched on the rear panel and repaired by the previous owner. Their address is [redacted], Arkansas, population 3,800. From the paper work I also noticed that the vehicle was traded to[redacted] and then to[redacted] and then[redacted] Motors. Not my idea of one owner. Mrs.[redacted] called me on 29 Aug to tell me that the vehicle had been in the 27 Aug 2014 [redacted] tornado. The town was flattened and 400 to 500 homes destroyed with 14 people killed. While I thought the owner had touched up scratches she told me they had made no repairs to the vehicle. They had accepted a check from [redacted] insurance in the amount of $11,000 or $12,000, she couldn't recall for sure because she couldn't remember what their deductible was. They had taken the vehicle with the check and traded it in to[redacted] because the dealership was advertising they would help the victims all they could and would take the damaged vehicles in on trade. Mrs.[redacted] told me the vehicle was scratched all over, the spoiler/brake was dangling off the back, the windshield was so scratched up you could barely see out it, EVERY panel had been scratched to include the hood and roof, the passenger headlight was damaged. All the glass around the vehicle was scratched and scarred. I contacted Mr.[redacted] immediately on Friday the 29th of Aug. he texted me that I should take a breathe, calm down and do some research! We would take care of it Wednesday the 3rd of Sept. when he got back. It would all be fine. It is not fine! Well I have taken a breathe and done some research. Yesterday I talked with Price[redacted] with[redacted]). Mr.[redacted] told me they sold the vehicle unrepaired to[redacted]. He told me that[redacted] (the owner) was aware of the damage and what had happened to the vehicle prior to his purchase. I called and spoke with[redacted]) and they told me that as soon as they got the vehicle they sent it to Drop-it Conversions. This is a company they use to recondition, detail for resale, repair body and paint. Drop-it Conversions is a branch of their service and is a full service body shop. They explained to me that[redacted] has been in business for decades and they purchse damaged vehicles from all over, recondition them and resell them. All the dealers who buy from them are aware of their business model.[redacted] assured me that Mr.[redacted] knew the vehicle had been reconditioned and repainted. They shared the list of repairs with me: $3,095.97. replaced the lift gate glass, replaced the luggage rack, replaced the rear spoiler and brake light assemble, repaired dents/dings, detailed vehicle and replaced windshield. They paid $2,790.97 just for the body repair and paint. Mrs.[redacted] told me all the glass was scratched so part of this recondition has to be gel glass repair because the windows are [redacted] except for the windshield. I want my money back for the vehicle: $31,250.00 I want the vehicle inspection fee, because I would not have even looked twice if he had been honest in his ad about the damage from the tornado: $178.10. I want my transportation fee, because I wouldn't have bought it so there would not have been a transaction: $484.00. I know that even though [redacted] does not have a report on this damage he knew through[redacted] because he has a relationship with that car lot. Oh and he also advertised the vehicle as having multi level heated and cooled seat! Heated yes, cooled no! Final Business Response This is definitely a one owner vehicle, which she claims it isn't, it had some minor storm damage which was all cosmetic, not structural, the total repairs I was told was around 3k, which isn't that much, when I bought it from the wholesaler who bought it from the dealership it was repaired, but certainly by no means is it against any law or business practice to sell one that this has happened to, it has a full warranty from [redacted], runs and drives great, looks fine, she is not happy and is not going to be happy, I offered to buy the vehicle back at a discounted price, I would be glad to sell it again, but she is not entitled to any refund or a buy back, I hate she is unhappy but she wont be happy until she gets a full refund, which I will not do.[redacted]
