I had a contractor install Allure flooring 10 years ago. Thought it would be the last flooring I would have to do. Within 1 year pieces started shrinking and leaving gaps. I didn't like this but just never got around to doing anything. I'm retired and finally found my receipts from the contractor, contacted Halstead. They said I needed the original bill from Home Depot. I called the contractor and since then the 1 brother retired so the other brother cleaned the files and got rid of the original invoices but gave me the info from their computer. When I called Halstead with this info they said they could only work with the contractor. I've decided to give up because I don't think they would help them either because the amount of info they had was lacking. Allure has a 25 year warranty BUT what good did it do me. It cost me $1500 for the floor plus installation.
We purchased Allure adhesive vinyl flooring from Home Depot in fall 2014. It was properly installed on our concrete basement floor. After about 6 months the seams started bucking in several spots. Tried to repair with adhesive glue, but did not work. Our experience in dealing with Halstead International was frustrating and lead to no refund or fixing the problem. Spent around $1500 and did not even receive an apology for months of a tedious claim process. The customer service was terrible. We eventually tore up and discarded the entire floor. An ordeal for which we received not an once of compensation. Our contractor has stopped recommending Allure flooring products. Halstead has a lot to learn about customer service & quality products. By far the worst flooring products for many reasons.
