Review: Purchase 22 Cases of [redacted] vinyl flooring. Contractor/ Installer had difficult getting the pieces to lock.

after a few hours he suggested it was not properly manufactured. I told him I needed the flooring installed I would correct the problem areas later. Called Halstead, Sent Mail, also sent Letter to CEO and President [redacted] and Peter S[redacted]. Initially called customer service. They advised me it was the installer problem .. Which they pretty much state on several complaints on a blog. The Product was special order from Halstead by [redacted] in [redacted].

I have copies of invoices, e-mails and registration. What do I want 4 replacement boxes of [redacted]

plank. Plus $350.00 for installer to correct the problem areas. We spent $2,604.95 for Installation and a $1,000.00

for preparation. floor is popping up in place and in others seams are showingDesired Settlement: Four Boxes of [redacted] plank shipped to my Residence no charge for product and or shipping and the $350.00 labor fee

to fix faulty product

Review: Glue on Vinyl Plank flooring is failing. Planks are separating.

Vinyl plank flooring was installed correctly in residential house. Soon after vinyl planks started separating in the middle of the floor and on edges. Floor is separating(not buckling) in some places up to 1/8". Floor had plenty of expansion room around edges which has diminished to nothing because of the multiple separated joints in floor. Inspector claims the flooring was installed without expansion around edges which is impossible considering how big and how abundant the separation is(easily eating up the allotted expansion space). Flooring was installed by person with over 30yrs of experience..it is not installation error, it is faulty product.Desired Settlement: We are seeking for replacement of material(27cts, 648sqft) w/ trim pieces(100 lineal feet of quarter round & 20 lineal feet of vinyl base); labor to move furniture, remove faulty floor and then reinstall.

Review: I purchased [redacted] plank flooring thru [redacted]. This product is made by Halstead International and I contacted [redacted] due to a defect with this product. In turn [redacted] notified Halstead and informed them of the issue. After sending pictures and describing the problem with this product (obvious defect/indentations on the ends of the planks) I was contacted by Halstead and was told the following: 1. It's not a defect but occurs due to the nature of this product and the lighting affects it depending on the which finish you purchased (we purchased limed oak), 2. when the machine cuts the vinyl it takes away some of the product but when the two pieces come together they should/will form one continuous piece (yet they look indented as if they do not), 3. The ends may smooth out over time as they adapt (but Halstead claims there is no defect/indentation) and lastly 4. I can always call [redacted] and ask them to exchange what product I haven't installed for one similar and that may look less indented. There is no disclosure from Halstead that their [redacted] Plank products may have this issue due to the nature of the product. I have purchased approx. 2,700 sf ($6,000) and the product looks defective.Desired Settlement: I have installed nearly half of this product and incurred additional costs to do so (floor roller rental) in addition to the time & labor involved with install. I will likely have to have it removed and either returned or disposed of and I should not have to pay for a product that is defective. I want a full refund of $6,000 to pay off the balance on my [redacted] Credit Card as well as reimbursement of all floor roller rental fees and if I am unable to return the product the cost of disposal.

Review: I purchased [redacted] flooring from [redacted] for my kitchen and bath. The floor was installed to the manufacturer's directions. The floor looked great but after a while, I started to notice cracks in the planks. When more than one showed up, I contacted [redacted] who then put me in touch with Halstead. I sent pictures to them as requested. I was offered 1 box of flooring so I could remove the damaged planks and replace them with new ones. This was a tedious task but I did it and more cracks began to appear, only on the original planks. The pieces that had been replaced were fine. It was evident that my original purchase was defective because eventually all of the planks cracked and after getting no further response from the company, I removed the flooring. I saw no point in removing the floor piece by piece. The company's warranty was for 25 years. I had my flooring for 3 years.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the 8 boxes of flooring I purchased. All of it has since been discarded but there is record of my purchase and complaint with the company.

Review: I purchased [redacted] flooring made by this company from [redacted] in March of 2013. We have had the product installed for less than 9 months. We noticed damage to the floor in the office where the chair meets contact with the floor. We contacted [redacted] and were given the number for the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer on Wednesday 1/29/14 and to file a warranty claim. They asked for pictures of the areas that were sent to them on 1/30/14. We receive a call back on 1/30/14 with them leaving a message that the damage to our floor was environmental and will happen with their product and that we should have put a rug or something under the chair. This company has not answered their phones for the last 2 days ad their "online chat" support is fraudulent. It is just a tactic they are using to appease their customers. Our issue is covered by their warranty and we want a full refund for this disgusting flooring. If they are not willing to produce a full refund we will seek legal action.Desired Settlement: We want a full refund paid for the product in the total of $1,901.14
