Review: On 2/**/2013 I sent [redacted] materials seeking her representation for my novel. On 2/**/2013 she replied, stating that the publishing industry as changed and that many new writers find getting representation to be daunting. She then suggested that I contact an editor she knows, [redacted], out of Texas. I emailed [redacted] back, asking that if I go to the time and expense (over $2,000) of having the work edited, would she then be willing to give my work a second chance (of being looked over). She stated that she would. I received the novel back from [redacted] on 8/**/2013 and after incorporating her edits, resubmitted to [redacted] on 9/*/2013. For my time and trouble, I received nothing by way of a response. Until AFTER I sent [redacted] an email saying that I had read posts from other aspiring authors wherein [redacted] tells other authors the exact same thing told me. After that, [redacted] sent me an email defending her position and then wishing me good luck. At no time did she comment on having reviewed my work again as she'd promised she would do. She probably assumed I wouldn't complain for fear of being blackballed (by her), this relationship with this editor may be arms length and then again maybe not.Desired Settlement: I want an apology as well as the name of an agent who will look at my work objectively.
