We purchased a door from this company Detroit Security Doors owner Dave Thomas came to my home and measured for an exterior front door. He reported that he would need to order the door an it would take a few days we paid him a $200.00 deposit. His installer returned to our home for the install, we paid the balance $200.00 after he was finish I notice the workmanship was very poor and not very skilled for an installation, I noticed that he had built up the frame and it was 2 1/2 inches from the floor making the door higher from the floor then the original door an others in my home. I contacted Dave and asked why was my threshold and door higher that my other doors in my home he stated the following " Our company uses a shorter frame to save our customer 100.00 dollars " . " If you want you actual size door that I measured then you will need to pay me an additional $100.00. He never informed us the he was making this decision prior to taking our money.
