There is no basis for the customer's claim of $11,062.36 or any amount of money. I provided her theservice, materials, and labor far above and beyond what we initially agreed to. The work wasacceptable to her and her daughter, the home owner, at the time of service. Her subsequent claimsare...

completely unfounded and grossly inaccurate. With the enormous amount of this claim, customeris expecting me to pay for her new appliances, material and labor to remodel her kitchen for free, which is what this would amount to.The customer made the whole job much more difficult than it should have been. In spite of this, Imanaged to provide work that she and her daughter approved of at the time. I have been in thisbusiness for forty years in central Ohio and have a long lasting relationship with many past customersand an excellent reference list. I have never been treated so rudely, disrespectfully, or dishonestly byany previous customer. In response to customer's statement:1. Quartz countertops - When this project was in the planning stage, customer, [redacted], didnot know if she wanted granite or quartz countertops to be installed over existing base cabinetsin existing kitchen. She wanted help placing her order for counters, back splash and all othermaterials. I made several trips to [redacted] at my expense to assist her in doing this. Going to ahardware to help her place an order is way beyond the scope of work which I was to perform. Thisis an older house and she did not want to spend money to level existing floors which in turn makesexisting cabinetry out of level. My responsibility was to remove and replace counter tops and backsplashes. Work was completed in a professional and workmanlike manor ad result weresatisfactory according to the customer.2. Mosaic tile backsplash - Customer looked at displays at [redacted] where they are layed out andinstalled to a perfect size under perfect conditions, i.e. no unleveled floors. Customer does notunderstand that simply covering up existing sub-structure will not result in a finished productcomparable to a store display.3. Pictures were taken daily during this project. Customer is providing pictures taken far beforeproject was completed.4. Kitchen sink-Customer states kitchen under mount sink is flush on one side and three inches offon other side. It is not possible to mount a sink as she describes.5. Ceiling cabinet and paint - I removed a double over cabinet unit to allow room for new oversizedrefrigerator purchased by customer. Cabinets were rebuilt on site to provide as much space aspossible. This work was done at no charge. I also paid for the material for this, also at no chargeto customer, because she was complaining about the budget. Customer and her daughter agreedto do all painting from the beginning.6. Kitchen floor - When existing appliances were removed they were stuck to the linoleum floorcausing flooring to tear during removal  The plan was to remove linoleum and install hardwoodfloor in kitchen. After flooring was torn customer decided not to install new floors due toinsufficient budget.7. Bifold closet door - I did not remove closet door. When I first looked at this project, customerpointed out the door did not work properly, hardware was missing, and it was just sitting inopening unattached.8. Double charge - I have records showing total amount received from customer of $6,453 andexpenses of $3,599. That leaves my compensation of $2,953. This is an extremely small amountto charge for the amount of work completed at this property. Customer told me she had someoneelse working there but he left and "ripped her off''. In addition to the work I agreed to perform, Ialso completed the work left uncompleted by the prior worker at no charge to customer. I canunderstand why he left if he was only given limited access, had constant complaints, and wasshorted pay as I have been.9. Customer incorrectly states project took 47 days instead of two weeks. Twenty-eight days of thattime was from her not having chosen and ordered her materials. I made several trips to [redacted]with her to choose what she wanted and then we had to wait for it to be delivered. Customerknew this when she placed her order and agreed with [redacted] that the time framewas ok.10. Show up time -Customer does not understand in this business there are many hours spent by thecontractor off the job but still working on her project. Access was limited at the house wheretypically contractor receives a key or garage code to have unlimited access. Customer refused toallow this so project was scheduled around her and her father's doctor appointments.11. Clean up - It was offered by customer's daughter, who is the house owner, that they would cleanup at the end of each work day. We cleaned up the majority of debris and picked up tools eachday and left the small dusting for the daughter as she suggested.

Hope you get the pictures ok had a hard time getting to work. Not sure if any are doubles if so I'm sorry.Pictures are Kitchen backsplash crooked, broken, no grout between glass, not cleaned, corners I can stick my finger in that is how far it is off. In places sticks way up. The original border I bought he ruined an had to replace, there are places were the glass backsplash was just filed in with grout, glass looks like it was just broken an pieced in instead of cut. Outlet are not flush to wall and are crooked ,On one outlet you push in and goes in side ways back into wallUnder mount sink  not properly in he did not measure correctly. Counters Quartz not even and you can see the line were the 2 pcs meet did put the proper stuff in. Tore Kitchen floor in 2 places my he used a young kid who didn't bother using a dolly an his son, he fixed the floor with blue tape and said well you were going to get a new floor anyway. The floor I have in was only a few years old. Cabinet he fixed does not match. Were he removed cabinet and fixed drywall "said he didn't paint so my daughter did and were they repaired drywall it looked like a 1st grader did an made him redo which he had a young kid in school do this job. Than still did not paint. Living room the bamboo floor steps not complete nor was the landing which was half done and bowed when step on floor goes down. The base board around living room was sweeping and fell off he had put on with tape,Closet door did not put back on was removed so he could do the floor.Took 47 days to complete job that was to take 2 weeks Three weeks I know there are problems. He was to have a crew of men working but had high school kids his young son and when ever his older son didn't have a job. Only one day did he have a crew of men. He was on time a total of 2 times in the whole time he worked here most of time late and I don't means a hour I mean 3 to 4 or never bothered to show I would sit at home waiting for him an when he was here 75% of his time was him sitting in truck smoking. I listed to his sob stories about his wife who was divorcing him and how she stole 40,000.00 from him and he had 2 homes and was hiding his assets so she could not take his money. His last job did pay him now I know why. So I would paid him early . An behind my back he got money off my daughter because he told her he would not be able to get to work the next day he had no gas.I was here every day and when I could not be here for Dr. app. I had someone here
