Sometime in the early spring Mr. [redacted] wanted a quote on his AC as well as fixing water leaks under a home he was moving into t. It was too early/cold to check the AC but he told me he had 3-4 leaks under the house that needed repair. He...

told me he wanted a quote, and I quoted him $150. There was some time between the quote and the work. In the mean time he got in contact with a local business here, the [redacted] in New Madrid. They contacted me & said they had allotted him some money to help him take care of his needs. Once that was all squared away and we were in agreement, I sent my guys down & they worked on the AC & leaks on 2-3 different occasions. On those occasions the further they fixed the leak the more they found. They had to get some of them fixed before they found more coming out further down the line. We wound-up with about 3 hrs involved in the job. Our labor rate is $75 per hour, and we had well exceeded the initial price of labor and parts. We told him it would take more money to continue because there is more damaged then what was described to us. The [redacted] called us again because he contacted them & asked for more money. The lady at [redacted] said they had a check for what has been done to this point, $150. The money on the check came from [redacted] I told Mr. [redacted] he would need to come up with more money some way or another to finish this big of a job. The phone number he gave you for me, during that time was during the AC season. I was very busy, I am not denying that. He could have called me and I missed it. He does have the wrong cell number listed for me. I am not sure if he was calling the wrong number or what. There was no more assistance for him from the program so we never went back. As far as him wanting to have a refund of the $150, he never paid this. It was given by [redacted] As far as another company coming in and saying that we did not do anything at all, I am not sure. I know the job wasn't finished because the money ran out. Competition situations always lead to a he did this/he did not do this type of situation. The job was a lot bigger than we prepared for and initially what we were told it would be. If it was between us and him & he paid the $150 I would return his money, but he did not pay. I told the lady at Salvation Army and they said they have no problem with us going as far as we could because they went as far as they could, as well. He needed to come up with the extra money to complete the job per [redacted] and as far as we were concerned. We're in business to try to please our customers & make people happy, and this is an unfortunate circumstance.
