Dear [redacted] Hammer and Nail Exteriors has been in contact with [redacted]

This was a custom product which takes about 6-10 weeks to

the [redacted] Manufacturer.    The manufacturer indicated that
their system notes the sizing of the product was correct, however both time the
part arrived it was misconfigured.     The manufacturer has

We acknowledge that this has been a long process, and we
should have communicated better with [redacted], and we do apologize.
Again, we have followed up with [redacted] and she has

 Thank youTom C[redacted]

I had a very unpleasant experience with the Hammer and Nail Exteriors located on 4921 Wyaconda Rd, Rockville MD. I was planning to replace the original double hung 13 windows in my house to Marvin windows. The company send Niko – the sales representative to make a presentation. He perfectly prepared for the show: he had information, the examples of the windows, everything to convince the customer to buy their products they are selling. The number of windows which need to be replaced was agreed when Niko was in the house, the pictures of the old windows were taken to avoid mistakes, the price with discounts was agreed including approximate installation dates, only remained the contract which should be signed. When a few days later the contract was send my email, one window was missing, but the price remained for all windows which was agreed previously. After signing several page-contract with all details, details which I did not really needed, I found that one window is missing in the signed document and asked to include it. Niko send me amendment contract including the last window and also included the price which I need to add to my existing contract. I had a short conversation with a project manager explaining the situation and he agreed that missing window should not be charged since it should be included to the original contract. In addition to that, I mentioned that all rotten woods around the windows should be replaced during the installation. It was agreed too. On a day of the installation, four people came to work on my windows. They knew their job pretty well. I can say that I was really pleased with the crew. They worked fast, but the problem was that Niko did not mentioned that all rotten wood should be replaced and of course, they did not want to make a job which they have not been told to do. The installation manager came to my house to make a decision if the rotten wood should be replaced. I was lucky that job was approved, otherwise all rotten wood would be covered by the aluminum sheets and no one knows when the next problem would come. When you are doing the project, you are expecting that the windows should be installed to the good frame not the rotten one. In general, the crew did a wonderful job, no complains. At the end of the completion, I receive a final payment which I need to make, and was really surprised seen that the last window, which was missing from the original contract should be paid as well. I called the office trying to correct a mistake, but the receptionist Shela from sweet and very nice person at the beginning of the project, became extremely aggressive, angry, and rude. She did not want to listen at all my comments, she did not let me say a word, and even worse she harassed and frightened me. It would be nice to respect clients, especially when they bring thousands of dollars to the company. I spent much more on that project than expected. If I knew that the company will make additional charges for the window, which was purposely missed, I would not work with that company at all.
