no-show
i'd give n star if possible since he is a no-show. we had an agreement he sent me in writing that he would start pool cleaning service in Oct. I texted him a few days before Oct. to make sure he was gonna make it and to find out what time and day. no response. a coupla days later he texts and say reception is lousy where he is. Ocala with a busted tranny. well, I hadn't heard that one yet. he said he'd get back to me. that was on Thurs. and monday still no response. I had fired the current pool guy by then and Chad was supposed to take over. I texted him Wednesday to tell him that at noon I will be taking over the job myself. I guess we are too small for his time.

I don't owe this guy anything we did not have any specific date on the contract for completion I have the lights in a text yesterday he stated he wanted them on Friday May 1st so he's making claims on that I have it in a very rude text he sent me .and in the contract they never told me the pool had been painted and you could not see the cracks in the pool when I got it drained I told them the pool had been painted and there were very big surface cracks that both would cost extra he agreed it's my fault I didn't get that in writing and last of all he's very rude dosent let you talk I had another pool company explain the extra work but he dosent care very bad guy to work for

I am rejecting this response because:Mr. [redacted] does not respond to any specific points: the pool was drained within days after we signed contract. He inspected the pool after it was drained, four days after we signed the contract and pointed out the paint and the cracks to us and told us it would have to be removed and the cracks filled and did not ask for more money or to amend the contract.  Given that he knew about the paint and cracks within the first four days of the contract, he had ample opportunity to discuss changes in the contract, which we would have been happy to do; however, he thought the pool was ready for re-plastering and it was his sub-contractor that pointed out that it was not ready, five weeks after the fact.  This alone caused some loss of confidence that Mr. [redacted] knew what he was doing. Aside from part of one day and several additional hours there was zero work being done on the pool for five weeks.  There were several rainy days, otherwise the weather was good. The extreme majority of the inadequate job was done in the first two weeks; and, of that only part of five days was someone here working on it. He led us on with specific promises weekly and did not execute a single one. The work that was to be done by his company is straightforward and simple labor: remove paint, grind and fill cracks, have sub-contractor re-plaster.  After 7 weeks he didn't accomplish any of those goals. The only goal he did accomplish is removing he old tile and tearing up the coping-pretty basic stuff.  It's not a false claim to say I have not received the lights I have paid for because I have not received them; that's a simple fact. It has yet to be seen if I ever will.
