Review: From an honest viewpoint, I will try to explain in writing, the situation that occurred. I will do try with the best. Hurricane Investments representative, [redacted], posted an ad on craigslist back about January mark. The posting dealt with stocks. the only reason why I persisted after this opportunity was because it stated, base pay plus commission. so then I went after it, because I know it could be lucrative for both sides. the number that was on the post, nobody ever picked up. so finally I got a call from [redacted], we went over all the details of what the job entailed, etc. I wanted to make a good, prudent decision on this, and not be irrational even though I really wanted to pursue it. After many calls of back and forth (which again he has two numbers and never can leave a message because the voice mail is always full); I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue this avenue. So he requested for me to sign some contract, fill out tax information, and for me to fax back, and send him a money order of $150 to cover training. he said training will be one wk; thus, I would be ready to make money. this was within a day wrapping it all up, because I needed to start soon. I was clear on that I had no job for 7 months. I needed security on this job. I researched on the internet for his company status, and it was there. so on a Fri, 1/24/14 I overnited a money order $150 to him to start training on that Monday. I have the copies/receipts of money I sent; his name/addr/etc. anyway, he would never give me a cell nu. and he was never prompt on his word/emails/delivery for service. in sum, while waiting on his lack of diligence of getting me trained, his "meeting" member decided I was no longer a candidate for them because I was getting upset with his lack of promptness, and keeping his word, as if he was procrastinating. he stated: "I will issue a check" or something in this regards so, you can get your money back, but I still didn't receive my $150, and I still don't have a job.Desired Settlement: I need my $150 money sent to me fast. All im asking for is my money back. If anything, I would investigate this company further, because he came off as shady, a city slicker, type individual that I never picked up on until it was too late. there could be more of this going on and others might not know how to proceed with such measures as this. Thanks for your understanding of this manner. Please resolve this promptly, or as soon as possible.

Review: Paid the group $1000 for a down payment on a rent to own home we had picked out before closing they asked for more money when we said we felt more comfortable paying at closing the person called off the deal said we would get our money in 2-4 weeks it has been over a month with no communication from them at all.Desired Settlement: because of the deal falling through we are now homeless so the least I would want was the $1000.00 we gave him

Review: I paid a $25.00 application fee on OCT 18 2014 for Joe to help us purchase a home then requested $10000.00 to close on said property so on OCT 20 2014 the money was wired to him for closing was set for OCT 31 2014 and no one was able to get in touch with Joe not the buyer agent, seller agent, or the closing company to give him the details on closing. on the OCT 31, 2014 a refund was requested and he replied with no problem and on Nov 3 2014 he sent a refund receipt and said that the money would be transferred to my account that I paid the application fee. he has texted back and forth with text messages but funds have not found their way to my accountDesired Settlement: I would appreciate my $10000.00 back and for him to pay for his fraudulent behavior!!! So other people don't pay the same price I have

Review: I looking for a home to buy and stumbled upon hurricane investments. I called them to find out more about more about their rent to own program. They seemed like a good company at first so I decided to do business with them. I put down a deposit of $500 and joe [redacted] they guy who owns the company set me up with a realtor. Me and the realator took a look at some houses and finally I found one. Me and the realtor contacted Mr. [redacted] and Mr.[redacted] said that he will need the remaining $150 deposit for him to move forward. Well I then sent him the money and me and the realtor been getting our calls ignored and its been about a month now. I emailed the guy and told him I will report him to local authorities and FTC and that I want my money back. Finally I got an email response saying that he no longer wants to do business with me and what he does is hardly a scam. Finally after a few emails back and fourth he said that he will mail me a refund check for my $2000.00 on May 16th.Well I havent received a Check and he has ignored all of my calls and emails.Desired Settlement: I would like my $2000.00 refund as he stated he will give back to me.

Review: In mid Sept 2014, I responded to a Craigslist ad for rent to own properties. I was immediately contacted by [redacted] who represented himself as a broker/real estate investor who operated what he made out to be a staffed company dealing in real estate and investing. We agreed on a property he was to purchase for me and asked that I wire a down payment. He sent a boiler plate contract that looked like something downloaded or from a get rich quick book, and I attempted to do due diligence in researching his legitimacy. During the initial conversation, [redacted] revealed some past complaints he suspected one would turn up during such a search and offered reasonable but shaky explanations. Wary, I proceeded.[redacted] promised to purchase the property within two weeks. That soon became a month. At the one month mark (late Oct at this point), after little contact, [redacted] suddenly contacted me stating the property was now listed but he needed more down payment, as well as first month's rent. I reluctantly sent the down payment after I confirmed elements of his story. [redacted] told me he had completed the transaction, said we had a closing date of Oct 15 2014 and he needed the rent and contract immediately. In each event, [redacted] insists the money be sent via wire transfer. I suggested a number of alternatives but [redacted] had excuses as to why none of those would work and despite being overall uncommunicative, was quite desperate to receive the funds and called/sent numerous texts inquiring as to when the money would arrive.Once [redacted] got his money, he went silent again and would not return calls or texts, had a million excuses as to why not. On/about Oct 10, I reached [redacted] and pressed for information, at which time he said his agent was going to submit "the package" on the Oct. 13. Again, no contact, excuses, no action at all on the purchase, lied about having a meeting with his "agent". On Dec 5 I requested my money back; [redacted] responded in seconds with verbal abuse.Desired Settlement: Despite no contact and avoiding me for weeks, [redacted] responded in seconds with what appeared to be a very unprofessional, childish, abusive response when I asked that he return my money. I offered him a deadline to return the money to avoid my filing consumer complaints and criminal charges. [redacted] alleged that he would have his "atty" "[redacted]" handle the refund. No refund has been sent as promised. I want my $5000.00 returned.
