We had a terrible experience with Hampton & Hampton managementThey were more concerned with creating a way to generate revenue at the renter's expense versus making the renter feel as if they found a home they could reside in for an extended periodFrom the very beginning they made us jump through a bunch of hoopsWe were the only applicants that were interested in the houseWe submitted the application and paid the application nonrefundable fee but never heard anything from Hampton & HamptonI called them three days after submitting my application and was told that they would not consider my application until I made a depositThen their representative stated that someone else could come in at any time, make the deposit and they would get the house even though I applied first
My question is what does the company do with the nonrefundable application fee if five or seven people apply for the same homeThis seems like a way to generate funds at the renter's expenseTheir customer service is very poorThey do not return phone calls or respond to email when there is a problem with the homeThey close maintenance requests arbitrarily without performing the service
When we moved in the house was filthy, had a ton of dead bugs strewn throughout the home and had a major ant problemWe contacted Hampton & Hampton with our concerns and they never contacted usThey issued us one key to the front door; unfortunately, the garage door was not keyed to matchWe requested a key for the garage door and never received a response from the agencyWhen we moved out the house was cleaner than we received it (we spent two days cleaning the home from top to bottom) but they kept a part of our security deposit for cleaning services
We were afraid of the repercussions of complaining so waited until we moved out and received our security deposit before trying to contact the company
