To Whom it May Concern, As of January the Hampton Inn Elkins WV had in place a day cancelation policy for reservations made for October 2nd and 3rd This reservation was made by phone on September 28th confirmation # [redacted] and a email confirmation sent to the customer stating the terms of the reservation specifying the day cancelation policy Guest filed a complaint to Hilton Worldwide (# [redacted] )After Hilton Worldwide reviewed the complaint, Hilton Worldwide responded to the customer and hotel that a refund shall not be granted based on the reservations cancelation policy The day cancelation policy was in place and recognized when the customer placed the reservation and customer gave the hotel a method of payment.Thank You,Lisa R***General ManagerHampton Inn Elkins WV [redacted]

stating the terms of the reservation specifying the 10 day cancelation policy.   Guest filed a complaint to Hilton Worldwide (#[redacted]). To Whom It May Concern,   There was a customer complaint ID # [redacted] that came from [redacted] regarding my hotel the Hampton Inn Elkins, WV. Mrs. [redacted] made her reservations on 5/8/15 through a 3-party booking company called [redacted]. The guest booked her reservation through [redacted]...

[redacted] and paid [redacted] for her hotel room. [redacted] charges the guest and then pays the hotel on [redacted]s credit card. Mrs. [redacted] did not book the reservation directly with us or pay us any money. When booking with the 3-party companies like that the guest pays them directly not the hotel.. They reservation gets sent to the hotel from the 3-party company along with only the 3-partys info which is credit card, address and phone # of the 3- party on the reservation. We do not get any of the guest info at all because they booked through a 3-party reservation line and not directly with us and we cannot alter or change anything on that reservation without the 3-party permission. Mrs. [redacted] needs to get her money refunded back from the company she paid to book the room for her which is [redacted].  I do not have any information about the guest at all..[redacted] is the only one who has her personal information. However, if you book through a 3-party reservation line and you need to cancel or alter your reservation you have to call them directly to do so because the hotel cannot alter or change anything on the 3-party booking reservation. [redacted] charged the guest $122.65 to book the room at my hotel and the price we charged [redacted] is $97.84 so it looks like there's difference of a booking fee. If [redacted] fails to cancel the reservation they book for a guest [redacted]'s credit card is charged a No Show fee for loss of business for the room that night. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Yes I did understand the policy and procedure, however, was the room rented for the night in question by another party? Working in the business of reservations, I know that if there was enough time for the room to be reserved by a different party then the reservation could be refunded. Also, it wasn't like we just decided not to come! It was DUE TO UNFORSEEN WEATHER, AND IT WOULD HAVE EFFECTED MY HUSBANDS JOB! If there would have been something else we could have done, we would have done it.
