Hampton Inn & Suites - Shady Grove

This hotel stated they would refund my money for my three day stay due to my hotel room being infested with bed bugs, and I suffered from bed bug biteFrom 05/23/14 to 05/26/14 I stayed at this hotel from a family reunion. On the third night of my stay I woke up with bites all over my body. Upon further inspection of the hotel room, I discovered the room had bed bugs. I tried to contact the manager on duty, but was not able to speak with her. I then called guest services who stated they would refund my money for the three night stay. Well, apparently now they don't want to refund me and are telling me I need to speak with the general manager of the hotel name [redacted] I have made several attempts to contact [redacted], but [redacted] does not return calls. I have called guest services several times letting them know of the frustration I am having trying to contact [redacted]. Guest services has stated that they have sent [redacted] several emails asking her to return my calls . I have yet to get a call back. We immediatley contacted our pest control company. [redacted] Division came out to complete an investigation of room 212 which the claimant occupied. After their investigation no bed bug activity noted during their inspection. Attached is a copy of the pest control investigation for your records. This docuementation was also provided to the claimant by email on 05/27/14. The claimant was also communicated with by phone on several occasions. The claimant has also advised that she is seeking legal action. Her complaint was immediately filed with our insurance company for Hilton Worldwide. A represenative from [redacted] has also been in contact with the claimant. No compensation is due from the hotel. Obviously the hotel is confused, I have told them several times The room I occupied was room 205 NOT room 212. If your exterminator sprayed room 212 he may have not found any bedbugs. I have video footage of the bedbugs that were in the room I occupied. I have offered to email this video to [redacted] I was told that they could not use the video footage of the bedbugs that were in room 205. I am still requesting a refund. Hopefully, this hotel can get the room numbers correct. I''m sure if they review their records they will find thy the room I occupied was room 205 . I am still requesting a refund for the total amount of money I paid to stay in. Bedbug infested room.Final Business Response No evidence was found in either room 205 or 212 by our pest control company. I would like to see the video as no one has informed the hotel of video footage. Not sure whom the claimant spoke with regarding video footage since she has spoken with Guest Assistance for Hilton Worldwide and our claims office. The claimant advised our hotel staff and hotel manager they were seeking legal counsel. At this point we can not speak with them. While the Revdex.com states for both parties to move from their current position to a middle ground, the hotel will only refund one night room and tax.
