information, i.e., their 2015 tax returns. The loan officer who took the loan application accepted employment outside of the Farm Credit system; his last day at FCMA was April 15, 2016. The applicants' 2015 income tax returns were provided to FCMA on April 18, 2016. The completed application, including the 2015 tax returns did not support the applicants' loan request, and therefore, the decision was made to decline the loan request. On April 20, 2016, two FCMA loan officers met the applicants at their home to inform the applicants of the denial and the reasons for the denial. Farm Credit provided the written denial letter, which was mailed on April 25, 2016. The denial letter set out the applicants' right to have the decision reviewed. To date, the applicants have not exercised their right to a review. The denial was based upon the reasons stated in the denial letter, a copy of which we can provide with the applicants' consent. FCMA violated no laws or regulations in its dealings with this application. FCMA prides itself on its dealings with customers and regrets that it cannot always satisfy their requests. We trust that you will find this response sufficient to respond to the complaint, however, please let me know if you require any additional information.Sincerely,Phillip T[redacted], Sr. Credit Officer
