On January 11, I did an estimate for the complainant; I started the job of removing wallpaper and one border on February On that day I moved the refrigerator to the center of the floor and returned it at the end of the workday with no problemsAt the start of the job I discovered there was a
second border under the top oneI told the homeowner that there would be an additional charge of $125.00, he agreedOn February I returned to continue to removal of wallpaper, when I moved the refrigerator out it tore a small hole in the linoleumI asked him why he didn’t lower the wheels on the fridge to make moving it easy and he told he didn’t do it with his old one so he saw no reason to do it with this oneThe homeowner said he had an extra piece in the basement and he would patch it inInstead of cutting out the small tear he cut out a rather large piece and glued the new one inexcept for a slight difference in color it matched very good, in fact it matched so good that his wife never noticed itOn February I returned to finish removing the wallpaper and do the spacklingI asked the homeowner what his wife said about the floor and he said she never noticed itWhen I finished the wallpaper and spackling I asked the owner to pay me for this part of the job as I had not taken any deposit from them, I told him I would drop the $extra price to give him a break cause of the tear that he so expertly fixedHe thanked me paid me $for the wallpaper removal and I told him to call me when he picked out the paint color (he said they still hadn’t decided on a color) and I would come back and paintOn February 22, the homeowner called me with the color, at this point I told him I could not get back to him till March 17, work came in over he weekend and I was getting busy I told him if something changed I would call him and do the work soonerThat night his wife called me yelling and carrying on about the date I told her she had from January 11, to pick a color and I couldn’t pass up work waiting for her to call meShe said she had the color picked out, and I told her that’s not what her husband said, and I would get to her as soon as I couldOn March 4, I called them at about 10:30amI had just finished a job right in the area, I wanted to come over and put the second coat of spackle on several spots and I would do the painting on Monday March No one answered the phone so I left a message to call me back and we can get this scheduledI never heard back from them
