I don't typically take the time to write reviews but felt one was really needed here..
One of the best contractors I've ever dealt with. Professional, courteous and on time for the estimate. I could have easily been talked into a new roof by a less trusting company but after 30 minutes of thoroughly going over my roof and answering all my question, Mark assured me that a new roof wasn't necessary and that a far cheaper solution would be fine.
Wish more contractors were like these guys.. I would highly recommend!

I wish to pass along a compliment to the staff and crews of Hamstra Enterprises. I have had business dealings with many outside contractors in the past but none were
as professional as Hamstra Enterprises. They were timely, well organized, and ex-
tremely neat. They really take a lot of pride and integrity in what they do. I recommend
them to anyone needing a quality and professional roofing contractor.

In March of 2011, we were originally called out to give an estimate on a roof.  We were told that there was also humidity issue in the attic.  We gave the estimate on the roof and we also offered help on the attic humidity problems as well.   We contracted with [redacted]...

[redacted] out of Orland Park, IL to cut in additional soffit vents and run the bath fan exhaust pipes to the outside, as they were currently vented into the soffit.   We contracted with [redacted] insulation out of Mokena IL to add insulation in the attic.   We, as the roofing contractor, would be responsible for replacing the roof as well as cutting in additional ventilation and installing a power fan with a humidistat.  All the work went well, and we were promptly paid.    In January of 2018 my office received a call from Mrs. [redacted] stating that she had mold at her baseboard in the first floor and in the attic.   My office referred her to a mold specialist and advised her to have an insulation contractor look at it, as [redacted] insulation has since, gone out of business.   Upon receiving the complaint from Revdex.com, I got involved and scheduled an inspection of the attic.  I found the attic to be dry.  I found the attic to be well ventilated.  I found several roof deck boards that had been replaced when we did the roof in perfect condition, with no evidence of mold or mildew.  However, the original boards are very dark.  I advised that I did not think the dark staining was mold, although I’m not a professional in that industry.  Whatever the dark staining is, it was from before we did the roof, as the newer roof boards show.  I found that the new ridge vent that we installed was insufficiently cut, as well as the new power fan that we installed, has since burned out.   I told the customer that we would return to cut in the ridge vent properly, as that was our mistake in the first place.   As a measure of good will, we would also replace the power fan, at no charge.   I also advised them to have their original soffit vents replaced, as they were becoming clogged with many years of paint and dust.  On Sat, March 11th, we finished the work I had assured them we would do.  I believe this case should be closed with no adverse effects on our Revdex.com rating.  Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.  Joseph Hamstra Pres.
