Hancock Regional Hospital Reviews (6)

DO NOT go to Hancock Regional Hospital with anything other than a DIRE EMERGENCYwill wait for regular Dr's office to open in the future If their service and billing is set to discourage people from using the emergency room They are certainly succeeding Nurses sat around the corner from our room talking and laughing about patients, how rude and disrespectful ! Nevermind the unnecessary testing that was done More than one of the same test because the nurse /Dr could not get it done right the first time ! I will NEVER go there again unless I am dying and then it wouldn't matter !

The following is our response to the customer complaint in Case ID [redacted] This member requested their account to be cancelled on 9/15/ Our membership representative that took the request noted that the member stated that they may be moving to Pennsylvania, but she hasn't scoped anything out yet The member brought a copy of a “Master Service Agreement” from her husband's business that details the scope of work to be done, but without specifics on location requirements Management reviewed the request and documentation submitted and determined that it was not sufficient to permit cancellation under our terms and conditions of the Membership Application and Agreement Our Membership Application and Agreement details that cancellation may only occur if (a) The Member dies or becomes totally physically disabled for the duration of the contract, (b) our facility is moved to a location that is more than five (5) miles from the original facility, (c) services are no longer available as provided in the contract because of center’s permanent discontinuance of operations, or (d) proof is submitted by a member showing a new residence and place of employment further than miles from center (with a cancellation fee of $50.00) The Membership Application and Agreement was signed by the member at the start of the membership on 8/3/15; in addition, the section that details our terms of cancellation was initialed by the member Our membership representative called back the member the next day to explain what is required as proof of a new residence further than miles from center The member kept saying she did not understand why the service agreement she provided was not good enough, while raising her voice saying she was going to tell her friends not to join because we make it too difficult for people who are moving Our membership representative noted the account of this incident Management also contacted the member, but when asking for a date they would be moving she would not give a date or timeframe, and was unwilling to provide any specifics on a new residence, only saying they may be moving In summary, to be fair to all members that we require this from and to be consistent with the terms of our membership agreement, we are denying the request to cancel the account until the appropriate documentation is submitted as proof of a new residence further than miles from center David F*, MBA, FACHE, FMFA, ACSM-cEP Director, Wellness Centers & Diabetes Education
