We needed the services of a lift van for my mother for my brother's funeral The assisted living place set up the ride arrangements for her The driver would not provide his name when asked When they arrived at the funeral home, he pushed her wheelchair into the funeral home and released it like one would a shopping cart and fled without leaving any contact information I received the bill six weeks later for services rendered I called the office leaving messages two times with no return calls The third time I called, the person I needed to speak with was finally available She denied that this particular driver would do this and said she expected the bill to be paid in full She was quite rude The service would quite unsatisfactory at a time when we were all suffering grief
They have always gotten me where I need to go, as long as I have tons of timeToday was typical: picked me up minutes early for an appointment minutes away (and they hadn't called with a pickup time), and because I didn't know when my appointment would be over I have to wait over an hour to be picked upThe vans are usually clean and the drivers are usually friendly, although the drivers don't often follow the "no food or drinks in the vehicle" ruleI guess I'm glad to have some way to get to and from appointments, but there's a lot of room for improvementNobody likes feeling helpless because they're stuck in the doctor's office for an extra hour
