Vehicle is a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truckVehicle arrived at our shop in very poor conditionIt was previously involved in at least one collisionVince was the salesperson, not JoeA Repair Estimate was prepared by VinceThe original estimate totaled in excess of $The customer did not want all damage repaired and all operations completedA revised estimate in the amount of $was preparedThis was discounted to $All requested body work and refinishing was completed in a timely manner and according to specificationPrior to the vehicle arriving at our shop, the customer replaced both tail lamp assemblies with aftermarket LED tail lampsThese assemblies are in working condition (we tested them and all of the lights work)However, the electrical system in the vehicle was not correctly wired to the tail lampsThe electrical system of this vehicle was previously tampered with, because someone inserted metal strips in order to bypass the fuse panelWe advised the customer that his vehicle electrical system has these issues, and that these issues were present prior to the vehicle being brought to our shopAfter examining the tailgate for proper operation, the customer was advised that the tailgate needed a new connecting rod and latch mechanismThe customer did not want us to purchase the parts or perform this serviceThe customer advised as to a limited budget for our work and asked for us to do the best we couldMore parts and repair operations were needed to completely repair this vehicleThe customer did not want those operations performed

I had a customer, [redacted], come into my shop with a check engine light onHe explained to us that a sensor had been replaced a short period of time ago by another mechanic and was told it would address the issueAfter checking it there was a [redacted] code? We explained to him that
we do not repair [redacted]s here, but we could check the sensorWe checked the sensors and could not find anything concreteWe took the car to my trans rebuilder and he told us it needed output speed sensorI called [redacted] and he authorized the repairHe picked the car up and the light came back on so he brought it back to us I took the car back to the rebuilder and they told us the other speed sensor was bad and was replacedLight came back on so we took the car back to trans rebuilder again and he told us the computer was bad All of this time [redacted] knew I took the car to trans rebuilderIt was only after he was told he needed a computer that he claims of no knowledge about the trans shopWe did everything possible to help [redacted]Car was high mileage and parts do go badI feel bad for [redacted] but after all there is nothing more I can doAs anyone knows computers do have glitches that don't always show up on first diagnosisIf [redacted] wants we can do the computer at the price the trans shop gave himWe were in constant communication with [redacted] every step of the way with what was going on and prices and also how complicated check engine lights areWe offered everything possible to come to a solution with [redacted] and the last we heard from him he said he'd be back he was just going to the shore for a few daysWe absolutely value [redacted]'s business as his family has been coming to our shop for years.?

customer did not want all damage repaired and all operations completed. A revised estimate in the amount of $2325.91 was prepared. This was discounted to $1854.68. 4. All requested body work and refinishing was completed in a timely manner and according to specification.5. Prior to the vehicle arriving at our shop, the customer replaced both tail lamp assemblies with aftermarket LED tail lamps.
