More than 50% of the sheet rock was completedThe last bedroom could not be completed because the customer did not provide enough sheet rock and would not purchase more (customer was responsible for providing materials)The plumbing was not leaking when it was fixed nor did she ever mention to me that it leaked after we fixed itIf she had, we would have corrected itPlumbing was done in the bathrooms because we had to redirect it up to the floor due to it laying on the ground under the trailerThe tubs were not provided in order for us to install themI spoke with my employee, Marcus, and he informed me that he never told the customer that he could not find the studs to staple or screw intoWe were not able to install cabinets, light fixtures, tubs, or vinyl flooring since the customer did not provide the materials to install as she said she would be responsible for all materialsIf we don’t have the materials we can’t install them to complete the jobSheet rock was done in almost all the rooms, except one bedroom and one bathroom as she did not purchase enough sheet rock to complete itWe requested lumber to correct the part of the living room ceiling before we sheet rocked it, otherwise we could not sheet rock it because it would not look right, but she didn’t purchase the wood to correct this (someone had installed a house door instead of a trailer home door, which damaged the ceiling because whoever installed it took out some of the ceiling structure to make it fit) I told her it would need a correct door and the ceiling structure fixed, but she didn’t want to spend the money on itWindow sills could not be completed as she did not purchase the material to do themWe did reseal all of the windows in the homeAll walls were taped and mudded (she also did not purchase enough mudding material to texture, which we informed her of)The subflooring was completed correctly (in kitchen area, living areas, all of the bedrooms, and the bathrooms), the plumbing was completed correctly (in both bathrooms and kitchen area), and we sealed the entire roofAlso, the handrail was broken upon arrival and we were going to correct that when we corrected the front and back steps (she did not purchase the wood for us to correct either)We could not paint as the customer didn’t supply the paintWe did leave the appliances in the back of the property by the back door per her request (washer, dryer, and stove)If this was an issue with the park manager then she could have told us and we would have moved it again for herI understand she still has to pay the lot rent, but that is something that should have been taken into consideration when deciding to remodel a homeIt takes time and money, and money is something she claimed to have run out ofPerhaps that is why the materials were not being purchased to be able to complete the job?

We were informed by *** that they had run out of money to finish paying for the jobShe also informed us she wanted us to pay for the lot rent, which is not our responsibilityHalf of the project was completeThis included removing the old sub floor and laying the new sub floor which WAS
screwed in, hanging all of the sheet rock throughout the whole trailer including mudding and taping, patched joices under the flooring, and installed new plumbing in the kitchenMarcus did inquire about purchasing the home but when she requested the money back for him to buy it we declinedWe stopped work once we were informed that she could not pay for the other half of the jobWe have pictures to confirm that the work was done

I am rejecting this response because:The contractor is lying. He was standing right there when his employee said he couldn't find the studs. He had all the Sheetrock as I have not had to purchase any more material than the material he picked up and the new contractor was able to finish everything. There was 13 boxes left of mud that he signed for in the garage. The only thing I told him was I could not buy additional trim that he needed and he was to tape all the corners. Flooring was all there at the job site. He signed for the tubs at [redacted] [redacted] He picked up all the material. There was lumber in the garage to fix the ceiling. They used staples to hang Sheetrock and did not hit any studs so the staples went through the paper. The only taping that had been done was across the middle section. I have photos that show what was all left undone. I have photos showing all the Sheetrock that was in the home. I have a photo showing the 13 boxes of mud. I don't know how he can say he didn't have the materials when he is the one that picked everything up. I have text messages showing that the flooring was ready to be picked up at Luke's carpet which is 1 mile away from the site. I don't know how he can lie like this, but apparently he is not an honorable person and likes to steal from trusting people. Again, I wish I could load documents to show he signed for the materials and had everything provided to him to complete the job.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: Only 50% of the sheetrock was completed with staples, not drywall screws which is a standard of practice, and the plumbing they say they did is leaking and not done properly. They put 2 pieces of pipe up through the subfloor that they installed in the kitchen. The tubs were not set and no plumbing was done in the bathrooms. The subfloor had a few screws in it, but was far below standards of practice. There were areas where the floor continued to move in the kitchen.  I have photos showing that only 3 rooms had sheetrock on them and none of the window sills were done. I told them I did not have funds to buy more trim material they requested and additionally felt that since the 2 week estimate of completion was 3 months past due, that they should give a discount due to the fact we have had to pay lot rent of $470.00 per month for every month they were not done. Rooms that were sheetrocked with some taping done include, part of the living room (ceiling and around windows not completed) master bedroom (closet was not completed or around windows) kitchen/dining (dining area was not completed on 1 wall and 2 windows) hallway. These were the only areas that had sheetrock installed with staples. Additionally, the staples were not even in studs. Marcus said he couldn't find any studs to staple the sheet rock into. The areas where there was no sheetrock installed include 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, utility room and ceiling of 1 area of the living room. They were given $5000 for half of the labor up front and then were going to be paid an additional $5000 upon completion. Half of the work was not completed. This was a complete remodel. They were hired to replace rotten subfloors, seal roof, correct ceiling in tipout addition of living room area, install new sheetrock on all walls in all areas, correct front and back steps (which they broke the existing handrail while removing the washer dryer and stove from inside the home) install all new cabinets in kitchen and both bathrooms, install new tubs in both bathrooms, install all new flooring including vinyl in kitchen and baths and carpet in living room and bedrooms. Paint interior of home, all walls. Install new light fixtures in living room kitchen and bathrooms. Remove all debris from site. I had to pay for the debris to be removed or get fined from the park because they just through everything out the back door and left a HUGE pile in the middle of the floor. I do not feel that subfloor and 50% of the sheetrock is half of this job completed. I wish I could load the photos to here as they show what I was left with.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
