Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.Handyman connection of Mansfield failed to honor the contract to remodel my kitchen when they failed to provide skilled labor as evidenced by work having to be redone including plumbing and sheet rock work It is unacceptable to tear up someone's home and fail to provide the skilled labor to complete the project in a timely manner Your company removed my appliances and sink at the end of May and due to both lack of skill and lack of actual labor hours provided, little progress was made through July 8th Damage to my hot water heater and leaking plumbing was caused by this unskilled labor.I reject the accounting of funds provided to me I never agreed to or was given any opportunity to agree to cabinets I requested on several occasions to see a sample of the wood before cabinets were constructed and have never received it I requested cabinet dimensions so that work could proceed and have never received them What I did receive was a phone call from [redacted] , service advisor with your company, yelling at me that she wanted to install cabinets although she was aware that needed sheet rock work was not completed.I want all monies refunded that were not spent on actual work performed on my home as well as payment for the hole cut into my wall in my den The hole is 1/inches in diameter near the top of my wall and needs to be repaired I do not approve of any of my payments being spent on cabinets I wil not accept cabinets or any further work by anyone affiliated with this company in my home Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. This is just more of the same that treatment that I have experienced since this company removed my appliances at the end of May I was hoping that the owner would actually take responsibility for what has happened in and to my home which basically comes down to not having the skilled labor necessary to do what I hired them to do The plumbing leaks in my wall were caused by them as well as the broken hot water heater I know that mistakes happen but it is how they were handled that is unacceptable The guy that messes up all the plumbing started putting up sheet rock instead of fixing the leaks [redacted] was notified and as always saw no problem with that Close to two weeks later, two other workers were sent to repair the damage They spent two days fixing problems and two more days actually doing acceptable work They removed nearly all the sheet rock that had been put up because even that was messed up to the point that they couldn't deal with it I was then informed that the other two individuals would return on MondayI find the document he created, very creative accounting The price of the cabinets seems to increase with any work that actually gets done on my project I was never given a price for cabinets or even provided a sample of the wood after asking repeatedly for it No one has addressed the hole cut in the wall in my den, accidentally. The removal of my popcorn ceiling was done so poorly that it looks purposely destroyed, ripping paper and gouging holes in the sheet rock It will cost me more to have someone else repair it than if I had paid someone skilled to begin with.I sent [redacted] many photos which he never responded to, I still have sheet rock that needs to be put up where cabinets should be installed and he ignores that and wants to install cabinets.I do not trust these people to do any further work in my home and I cannot afford to continue paying twice to fix what they have messed up I have never been treated so poorly by any company I've done business with I had several days of calling to see when workers were coming and told they were on the way and left waiting all day with no show only to be told by them that [redacted] had sent them elsewhere to work.I have a work commitment in August and need to find dependable people to finish this job I don't feel ripped off, I was ripped off This company needs to take some responsibility for tearing up my house and not providing the skilled labor to fix it If all I wanted was cabinets, I would have hired a cabinet maker The whole thing is just ridiculous Regards, [redacted]

I have spoken with Jim and have agreed to refund him $4,contingent on him signing a release of liability. I will be mailing him a check next week and expect a signature from him releasing me from all future liability. Please let me know if you have any other questions or if you need
further clarification on this matter and its resolution Sincere regards, ***

I have refunded the ***s the 50% down payment as we agreed. The work was 75-80% complete when we stopped. Miss *** did not like the way the stone veneer looked. Our craftsman followed proper techniques in the application or installation. The product selected by the customer created challenges and the craftsman were never able to satisfy her. I would be willing to reimburse for the debris removal if a receipt is provided. I am unaware that tiles were broken since the craftsman took precautions when removing the veneer from the wall so this comes as a surprise. The customer selected the stone veneer material and purchased out of their pocket. My company purchased all other material for the installation (hardy board, mortar, wire mesh, etc). I have no plans to seek reimbursement for my material costs for the job *** ** ***

***,Our company does take responsibility and will honor our end of the contract as I hope you will. I provided you an accounting of how your monies have been spent. Your payments as of now do not even cover the design, construction, delivery and installation of the custom cabinets. I acknowledge there were some difficulties with the plumbing and electrical given the age of your home but we resolved any issue that we encountered. In addition to the plumbing and electrical work performed, there was demo and haul off, sub-floor repair, drywall and framing performed at your home. Significant and real work performed at your home over the course of several weeks. I'm sorry that you think you haven't gotten your monies worth and are feeling ripped off. We can address the small half dollar hole in your wall if you allow us or I can reduce your final payment owed to compensate you. The gouges on the ceiling where some popcorn was removed can be easily fixed and the ceiling would have needed to been floated anyway. Removal of popcorn in an older home again is more challenging with more risks. I would disagree with your statement that we did not have experienced or qualified craftsman at your home. We can also find another craftsman to put up a section of drywall that is needed for cabinet installation if you allow us the chance, but it was my understanding that you were bringing in other contractors for the drywall. I would like to honor our contract and install the cabinets for you. ***

not resolve my dispute I accept the refund provided to me, but that is a partial resolution and does not account for the $in stone I paid for and Handyman Connection ruined as a result of their unqualified tradesmen In addition, I continue to incur expenses for refuse haul off for all of the stone rubble left on my property, which they were responsible for hauling off This is estimated at $ I also have discover chipped floor tile as a result of their careless demo - I'll estimate this at $

I will be meeting with Mr *** this Friday before the holiday. I only know of three issues he had with the second bathroom that my craftsman Michael and his crew constructed. Some standing water in the shower, some floor tiles that have a hollow sound and a cracked toilet tank. My craftsman did the best he could do address certain issues from the first bathroom from the punch list. It may not be perfect in the customer's opinion but we did make several things better as we promised. The second bathroom turned out extremely well and was done quickly. I don't think he will complain about the quality or the hard work and dedication on that second bath. We also corrected the concrete pour on the back patio. For completely remodeling and gutting out two bathrooms, I believe Mr *** got a very fair price. I've delivered on my promise to him to complete the second bath and address issues from the first as best I could

We are working with Mr*** to complete his project. My craftsman and I will be at his home this Thursday to resume the tile work in the bathroom

.  I have attached a video and several  pictures that are in question from [redacted] response to our claim. [redacted] requested that we sign a document for them to re-do the columns that is true.  He stated that we would have to pay more money to fix what his company had totally messed up.  As you can see in the pictures attached the columns in question.  We refused to pay more money to fix what they have left a mess. Also, in the attached pictures you will find rain leaking down from the roof onto the patio.  This has not been fixed yet either.  Please see attached the pictures .  We have filed charges against Handy Man connection and go to court on January 8, 2016.  If you have anymore questions please contact me at ###-###-#### Thank you, [redacted]

I had submitted a complaint against Handyman Connection of Mansfield on 4/25/2016.  I am in need of some advise.  After the Revdex.com...

contacted Handyman Connection's Owner,  I thought things were going to be resolved and the job completed. He fired the first sub-contractor and brought in another one.  The 2nd sub-contractor finished the job 5/18/2016, however he said he was unable to fix the 1st subcontractors mistakes.  We are to meet with the [redacted], Owner of Handyman Connections to due the punch out list and make final payment.  I feel that what we paid for is not what we were given or promised.  I do not feel that we owe him the final payment and he probably owes us some money back, due to the fact we will have to hire another Contractor to fix the mess that has been left for us.  This has been a nightmare.  Do you have any advise or suggestions for me?   Master Bathroom Cosmetic Mistakes - Tiles do not line up and some stick out further than the others. Shower Tile Walls (inside and outside of shower) Shower Corner seat Shower corner inserts (for shampoo, soap, etc.) Floor step Hallway Bathroom Floor makes a popping sound when you walk on it - due to the hardy board was not secured before tile laid. Shower decorative tile strip - one small area sinks in and is out of place (very noticeable). Shower floor uneven due to the 1st sub-contractor did not do the plumbing to the shower drain correctly before he laid the cement, so the 2nd sub-contractor tried to raise the shower floor so it would drain properly.  2nd sub-contractor told us that if we ever have any problems with this shower or the plumbing for this shower, we would have to bust up the concrete that was laid to fix it. Toilet leaking when 2nd sub-contractor installed it.  He came back twice to fix the leak, but it was still leaking last night 5/18/2016.   I called the Owner, [redacted], to tell him it was still leaking and he said the 2nd sub-contractor was headed out of town and that he did not have anyone to come and fix it.   I bought a toilet and installed it myself today (with no leaks).  Leaking was caused from a crack in the tank.
