Attached are copies of the estimates that were given to Mrs [redacted] when she called and requested an estimate from Handyman House Techs We always ask the customer when they call if this estimate is for a third party (insurance, FEMA, etc.) because they require additional information that we do not normally provide such as breakdowns of material and labor per room, or exact square footage of repairs She informed us that this estimate was for her We gave the customer a copy of her estimate and she then turned it into FEMA for her FEMA claim When FEMA contacts us they ask the same questions about each customers job: 1) was the damage done disaster related 2) was the work needing to be done from previously existing damage 3) what is the square footage of each room and the square footage of damage in each room that repairs are needed 4) what is the breakdown of labor and materials for each room that repairs are needed It is stated that we give free estimates to our customers and we stand by that statement When companies that are third parties are requesting estimates from us it takes up considerable amount of time to get the estimate as detailed as they would like them to be and it is outside the scope of an estimate that we would normally provide the customer We charge $**for FEMA estimates and $**for insurance estimates because we see that as accepting a small job, not as simply providing a estimate to the customer After we leave the customer with the estimate, the third party contacts us and then we have to answer any questions they may have related to the job After we invest the time in giving the customer the detailed estimate and talk to the third party we are then only awarded the job if the customer gets the money and decides to use us to have the work done We had advised Mrs [redacted] prior to coming out to the property about our companies policy and also the technician advised her of our companies policy upon arriving at her house On our companies website and all of our marketing materials we have the following disclaimer: Disclaimer of Exclusion- Handyman House Techs, LLC may charge a fee for an estimate that is used for purposes of obtaining third party funding such as insurance claims, real estate appraisal's, real estate purchases, federal funded grants, government grants, mortgage loans, and/or any other third party payeesHandyman House Techs, LLC also may charge a fee for any troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues (all customers are given a copy of our marketing materials upon coming to the house in the form of welcome packets and estimate forms)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

In regards to Mr*** ***'s complaint, we are writing this response today to provide information that we have been diligently working on Mr***'s concern The initial concern is the slope of Mr***'s roof At such a low angle flat roof, we have advised the customer that in
order to guarantee any future leaks, that we would need to remove and replace the damaged area with metal roofing or with torch-down material Unfortunately, due to the demand for roofing repairs in our area and the insurance companies involved, we were unable to get to Mr***'s roof immediately Since then, we have placed a temporary roofing tarp over the damaged portion of his roof to prevent any further damage at no cost to the customer Originally upon learning about this issue, we told Mr*** that this would be an issue that we would need to coordinate with the insurance company for legal reasons Since working with the insurance company, we have scheduled the repairs to be completed with Mr***, and have been approved to repair the interior damage from the insurance company After discussing options with Mr***, he has decided to go with the torch-down material for the damaged portion of his roof We are now waiting for dry weather to be able to solidify a start date for the final roof repairs

Dear Mr. [redacted],
sans-serif;">  We regret to hear you are not happy with the service received by Handyman House Techs, LLC.   Here at Handyman House Techs. LLC, we pride ourselves on our superior customer service, meeting deadlines, and competitive pricing.     When your estimate was put together for you, we gave you a 10% discount on the cost of your labor to earn your business.
The estimate provided to you was for Labor and Materials. The Labor did not change besides going down with the said mentioned discount. The estimate clearly states that this is an estimate that any and all material costs are estimated and may vary.      Unfortunately, the trash receptacle used on your project was the smallest trash receptacle available for us to rent for your project. The charge was a flat rate fee directly from the trash receptacle vendor, Handyman House Techs, LLC did not mark up the dumpster rental.      The customer’s final signature and payment signifies the project is completed to the customer’s satisfaction.  In reviewing our records, our documentation shows that we have completed our service obligations in regards to your project and full payment has been received on your behalf.  Unfortunately, we cannot offer you any additional discounts at this time.     Respectfully, [redacted] General Manager

Attached are copies of the estimates that were given to Mrs. [redacted] when she called and requested an estimate from Handyman House Techs.  We always ask the customer when they call if this estimate is for a third party (insurance, FEMA, etc.) because they require additional information that we...

do not normally provide such as breakdowns of material and labor per room, or exact square footage of repairs.   She informed us that this estimate was for her.  We gave the customer a copy of her estimate and she then turned it into FEMA for her FEMA claim.  When FEMA contacts us they ask the same 4 questions about each customers job:

1) was the damage done disaster related
2) was the work needing to be done from previously existing damage
3) what is the square footage of each room and the square footage of damage in each room that repairs are needed
4) what is the breakdown of labor and materials for each room that repairs are needed

It is stated that we give free estimates to our customers and we stand by that statement.  When companies that are third parties are requesting estimates from us it takes up considerable amount of time to get the estimate as detailed as they would like them to be and it is outside the scope of an estimate that we would normally provide the customer.  We charge $**.00 for FEMA estimates and $**.00 for insurance estimates because we see that as accepting a small job, not as simply providing a estimate to the customer.  After we leave the customer with the estimate, the third party contacts us and then we have to answer any questions they may have related to the job.  After we invest the time in giving the customer the detailed estimate and talk to the third party we are then only awarded the job if the customer gets the money and decides to use us to have the work done.

We had advised Mrs. [redacted] prior to coming out to the property about our companies policy and also the technician advised her of our companies policy upon arriving at her house.  On our companies website and all of our marketing materials we have the following disclaimer:

Disclaimer of Exclusion- Handyman House Techs, LLC may charge a fee for an estimate that is used for purposes of obtaining third party funding such as insurance claims, real estate appraisal's, real estate purchases, federal funded grants, government grants, mortgage loans, and/or any other third party payees. Handyman House Techs, LLC also may charge a fee for any troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues.

(all customers are given a copy of our marketing materials upon coming to the house in the form of welcome packets and estimate forms)
