"margin: 0.15pt 0in 0.0001pt 0.05in;">In reply: A proposal was given to rehab two bathrooms in a residence occupied by a couple in their 80's and who were there at all timesTheir son in law, [redacted], authorized the agreement and stated he would be making payments and all decisions regarding the rehab processThe mother in law stayed behind a closed bedroom door but the father in law is extremely paranoid with active cameras covering every part of the propertyHe also stated there are listening devices on the house exteriorHe was constantly in the way observing every aspect of the rehab and when he thought something wasn't done correctly, he would call [redacted]And when not observing the job progress, he would sit in his chair in the front door hall with TV turned up loud[redacted] continually told me to politely ignore his father in lawEvery one involved in the rehab process found that impossibleI placed a long time employee in charge of the first bathroom with the instruction to have it complete by ChristmasThen the start was delayed for a week by [redacted] due to personal reasonsJob progress was difficult to say the least as we were not allowed to start before 9am and not allowed to work unless the father in law was presentHe constantly interrupted progress with all sorts of complaints such as the trailer with demo debris parked in the driveway was cracking the concreteHe did not like one helper and let everyone knowHe did not want the shower or the water faucets on the shower to be installed as instructed by [redacted]He insisted progress be done in a sequence he felt appropriateThe work environment was such that two workers lost interest in finishing the projectWhen an inspection was finally done by [redacted] in early January, I personally attempted to correct all punch list itemsAll the while I was there, the father in law was constantly telling me all the things that had been done whether right or wrong and some purely fictitiousHe would walk by the open door of the bathroom, looking in to see what was being doneHe thought several items needed to be done that were not in the agreementAnd somehow got my phone number and called me numerous times with all sorts of issues[redacted] asked me to ignore his father in lawTold [redacted] that was not possibleOne day, I brought an experienced worker to help me speed up the punch list process so this project could be finishedThat resulted in the father in law getting his phone number and then calling him many times begging him to be in charge of rehabbing the second bathroomThe final straw came one day after I'd been there to get measurements for three pieces of tile trim and to get two cabinet doors I intended to rebuild[redacted] called me to say his father in law was telling everyone that I had pushed him at some timeThat's when I realized things had gotten so crazy that I was not going back thereAnd of course, the father in law wasn't allowing anyone else who had worked on the bath into his houseOn Jan 9th, I left the new cabinet doors, tile trim pieces, ceiling heater and an invoice for the balance due for the first bath in the driveway with the father in law watching me from an open front door and have not returnedI also withdrew · my proposal to rehab the second bath rehabThat was also the last time I had contact with [redacted]I'd told [redacted] the bath rehab would be completed to everyone's satisfaction if only he would get his father in law out of the house[redacted] said that was not possibleAs far as the Moen sink faucet supposedly purchased by [redacted], it was the wrong style and I had to replace it and also install a sink drainMy employee insisted he had purchased the sink faucetIn spite of the harrassment, there were several items done which were not in the agreementAll construction debris was removed and all safety procedures were followed[redacted]
