HandyPro of the Triangle

My relationship with this company started in early September 2015 due to termite damage in my hall wall. I received an estimate of $627.25 to repair the damage. The aggravation associated with this botched up repair has been a nightmare to me worth more than what I paid. The original "handyman" left the wall with horrible lumps from where the 2x10 and tape and mud were done incorrectly on the wall and near the front door, which became extremely obvious after I primed twice and repainted the wall after Thanksgiving. I complained to the owner and because of their guarantee to fix it for FREE if "not done correctly", the owner came to look and said it "needed to be feathered". Thereafter another "handyman" came. I did not want the original person back because the second day he brought his kids, came to me with little or no sleep and was back and forth to ** for supplies - main profession [redacted]. The second "handyman" previously worked at an apartment complex doing maintenance repairs. He spent about 3-4 hours mudding and sanding the previous repair. I DO NOT WATCH THESE PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE WORKING; IT SHOULDN'T BE NECESSARY! However, after a week I went to prime the extended areas he mudded. To my dismay as I was applying the primer it was peeling off the mud! I soon discovered that he never prepared the painted and primed wall to receive a new coat of mud!!! He didn't sand and/or prime the new paint to remove the semi-gloss. He just mudded over the semi-gloss, which is a huge NO NO and hence the primer wouldn't take. I was so fed up at this point that I had no choice but to remove all the mud he applied and it basically "slid" right off the wall. ANOTHER FLOP! It took me approximately 3 hours to remove all his mud and then I had to wash the wall to remove the mud haze and alas there was the same horrible wall that was there before! My previous paint job was intact. BUT THE LUMPS LUMPS LUMPS WERE STILL THERE! More emails to the owner and NO RESPONSE!!! We regret any inconvenience.We are enclosing a check for $339.60. That is a 100% reimbursement for the line item "DRYWALL - Repair" found in your estimate.
