Review: I am Contractor License #[redacted] Colossal Concrete. I ordered a 6 sac mix with 1" plus or minus aggregates. They brought me out a 6 sac 50/50 aggregate mix. Also one of their drivers washed out the concrete truck on the customers existing driveway and in his flower bed instead of in the field were he was instructed to along with the fact that it looked like we came up short of were we should have ended. The ending spot and the washing out were not the biggest issues, although I think its pretty unprofessional and disrespectful for the driver to wash out the truck right on the driveway. The biggest concern is the fact that they brought me a much weaker mix then I ordered. When I talked to the owner of the company he acted like his guy washing concrete out every were was no big deal and I was being stupid. He jokingly offered to come down and clean it up instead of dealing with the issue. In the matter of possible shortage and wrong mix, I asked for a 2 yard load for free and a guarantee against the slab if it had more than expected cracking. He stated that it was no big deal and his mix was strong enough, but ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to guarantee his ready mix if it didn't hold up to the applications meant for that section of the job. He said, " Ice cream melts and concrete cracks.) He also said he would give me 2 yards for $200 all included which is discounted about $100, which I declined. I asked him," what am I supposed to tell my customer now that hired me to do a certain quality of work?" he stated," it was fine and to send down my customer so he could straiten him out!" which I'm obviously not gonna do. The difference in strength between a 6 say all large stone and a 6 sac 50/50 mix is between a half to a whole sac structural and surface strength, so its not," no big deal or strong enough." I may as well have ordered a 5 sac and saved 6 bucks a yard!Desired Settlement: At this point I think they should just give me a full or partial refund and I will make sure that my customer is taken care of in the future if their inferior mix fails.
