Hang-Rite Gutter Installation

Work performed at: [redacted] XXXXXRear downspout needs to be moved, back gutter needs to be replaced with a longer one. Thank youI recently had gutters installed by hangritegutters gutters of Westfield MAI am not happy with the location and functioning of the down spout on the rear of my houseThe downspout on the rear of the house is attached to the rear of the house. My OLD, ugly, BLACK, eyesore of a piece of plastic, accordion tubing was put at the end of the down spout. There is a constant drip between the end of the downspout and the OLD plastic tubing making the ground around it quite soggy. This gutter should have extended to the side of my house, ...which has a natural slope away from the house......with the down spout secured to the side of the house...not the back of the house. Similar to the placement of the front downspoutOn 8/21/14, I called and explained my concerns to [redacted], who informed me someone would come to my house and address my concerns by " the end of the week". That did not happen, Nor did I receive any phone calls offering explanations as to why not.On 8/26 I left a voice message, expressing my concerns. My call was not returned or acknowledged. On 8/27 I left a voice message, expressing my concerns. My call was not returned or acknowledged.On 8/28 I called,and spoke to [redacted], informing her of my concerns. [redacted] asked me questions that I did not fully understand, like: ."wasn't I given a diagram?"...no.....she talked,about things like elbows, etc.......I have no idea what she was talking about....I never thought I had to be an expert on gutters myself, in order to hire a professional company to have gutters correctly installed[redacted] said something about "the guys" being in the area in 2 weeks and checking it out then......To summarizeOn 6/39/14 I met with [redacted] and accepted his proposal #XXXXX. Here Are the submitted specifications and estimates. This proposal was for,furnishing and installing NEW residential 5" gutters, 2x3 down spouts metal trim, gutter guard. GUTTER COLOR WHITE..032 gauge, downspout color white, rip yes, guard yes, downspouts 2Special instructions include : complete house@Plastic Company WILL remove existing gutter and downspouts. IT DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT USING MY OLD UGLY... BLACK..ACCORDION TUBING AS A PIECE OF THE NEW SYSTEMDeposit check [redacted] $500.00. Total for complete job 1,404.00 ..904.00 was paid [redacted]The company returned on 9/8.....instead replacing the gutter with a longer one and angling the downspout to the side of the house, they added a 12 foot extension to the bottom of the downspout and angled it to the side. This extension is actually extended in the air.....it will never stand up to the snow this winter.....AND they again used my old, ugly piece of plastic as part of my new system! I drive through several towns and neighborhoods regularly, and have never seen anything like what I have in my back yard!I have several pictures available of the messThe 12' extension is as much as a foot off of the groundDesired SettlementI would like the downspout in the back of the house, near the cellar hatchway, moved to the side of the house. I want the gutter system in the back of the house to be like the system in the front of the house........[redacted]This is to involve replacing the entire back gutter....as there is a hole where the existing downspout exits the gutter. I want a new, longer gutter that extends to the end of the roof line, with a downspout attached to the side of the house, with a reasonable length extension attached to the downspout, as was done in the front of the housee **Business Response It was a misunderstanding. We went to house and did a temporary fix. Should have left her a note telling here this. Went back on sunday and took care of the problem. Installed new gutter and down sprout. She was happy with the end job. Thank u.

The new gutter holds water. They drove screws thru my new roof shingles. Holes in roof! [redacted]. Now I need a roofer.I recently hired hang rite gutters to hang three sections of new gutter and down spouts. I just recently replace my soffet's and fasciia. They were old and rotten. I went and threw a ladder up to check the work. [redacted]. It looks like the face screed and used hangers in securing hangers they screwed directly threw my new roof shingles . Now every rain, water will be leaking into my new soffetts causing mold and other problems. Now I also have to hire a roofer to replace shingles that are destroyed. I also found that at a 45 it holds 1" of water. I am baffled by the [redacted] work which was done . Not only that but my downspout use to be straight but the one the installed goes down 15' and they botched a crooked piece onto the end. [redacted]Desired SettlementI want new gutters taken down . New gutter manufactured correctly.!!!!! Install new properly measured( downspout location) gutter. I want roof fixed by qualified roofing co. Of my choice. I want screws removed from my new roof shingles. I want holes caulked so they won't leak into my new soffet that I just replaced with plastic.
