In December we hired "Chip Off The Old Bock" Tree Service to remove a 50-year old pine tree in my backyardThey also had a crane come to assist with the large branchesThe tree trimmers were very professional and reliableThe crew cleaned up everything in my yard, the neighbors and in the streetI highly recommend this company
I recently had COTOB come to my home to diagnose/suggest maintenance on my queen palms The initial tech was late, but at least he called to advise he would be about 2hours late Once onsite he advised that queen palm was dead due to fungus and the others will need a Manganese treatment, anti-fungus treatment and a deep fertilization
I had another palm which was very healthy, but not very sturdy so he recommended a brace be built and installed This was on Wednesday (9/20/2017) I believe The following is the timeline of events to complete the order
Saturday (9/23/2017)- Tech came to do Manganese treatment and deep feed I was advised that the treatment would stain the dirt around my palm, which I was fine with that, but He got it on spots of my cool decking around the pool which has left brown stains
Monday (9/25/2017)- Tech was too come onsite to measure for brace…He was a no show, and I didn’t receive a call from the office
Tuesday (9/26/2017)- techs came onsite to take measurements for brace and remove dead queen palm, I went out about minutes later to check on them and they were gone, without removing the stump
Monday (10/2/2017) I called to check if the brace would be installed I was advised it had not been built yet When I asked the GM why I wasn’t notified he said his tech missed the deadline over the weekend and it didn’t get fabricated and they simply forgot to call and advise me
Friday (10/6/2017) Techs came in the afternoon to installed the brace, and another tech came in the late afternoon to apply the anti-fungal
So it took weeks, trips to complete what I would consider a fairly routine maintenance which left me with a $bill, and a stained decking I now have another palm dying, whether it is a result of their treatments or watering plan I couldn’t say, but my overall experience with COTOB was unprofessional, and disappointing I would not recommend them to anyone in the future, and I am not sure how they maintain an A+ rating with the Revdex.com They don’t have much concern as it relates to their client’s time in that every time they need to meet at the house that is taking their client away from work This really should have been completed in trips
I will say they did a nice job on the brace, but the rest of the experience was substandard
