Review: On 3/23 my vehicle broke down. I had it towed to hanks service center to have it fixed. The owner [redacted] hanks contacted me on 3/26 and informed me that my motor was blown and needed another one. He told me the price would be 3500.00. I secured a loan through my credit union for 4000.00 to cover the cost plus rental car. I gave [redacted] hanks the 3500.00 and he assured me he would get to work immediately. A week later I contacted him and he told me he needed more time. I told him I had a rental car and was ok with giving him another week. After that it has become very difficult to contact him. I have attempted to do so and get voicemail , leave him a message and get no reply. To date he has done absolutely no work . Today 5/2 , 6 weeks later I called a towtruck and had my vehicle removed from his business and sent to another garage . Mr hanks is nowhere to be found , will not return my calls , and has not given me my money back. His mechanics have told me he has done this before and feel bad for me. I am now 1000.00 into rental fees, paying my car payment, car insurance, and also paying on the loan I acquired to pay for the repairs to the vehicle. No work has been done, ive been lied to , and he refuses to call me back or return my 3500.00. This man is a crook as far as im concerned.Desired Settlement: 5000.00
