Hello! It is true, the second key could not be found at the timeWe did follow up with Mr [redacted] and let him know that unfortunately we could not find the key and would have to cut and program itSince the key has to be programed, it has to be done at the dealershipMr [redacted] was not happy with the fact that he had to come back, which is understandable and the sales stuff had to go through a vendor to have it done at the customer's place of workI guess that was not an option, so we ended up setting up an appointment for the customer at [redacted] , which is closer to himThe customer is fine now and we are very sorry about the inconvenience

First of all, I would like to apologize that this complaint/case has gone this farAs I have mentioned earlier, this is the first notification we have seen from youIf you can, please provide the date and time of your original e-mails to us. As far as the complaint goes, I was
personally involved in it*** *** called us after taking her car to *** *** *** dealershipShe had purchased an extended aftermarket warranty when she bought her car and we told her based on what she is telling us is wrong with the car, it has an engine problem, which would be covered under her warrantyHer issue was that she did NOT want to pay the *** dealership a diagnostic fee and would not allow them to take the car apart to determine the actual problemI personally spoke wit ***, who is a service advisor there and he told me that *** *** wanted a guarantee from us that if she allows them to take the car apart, we would take full responsibility for all the repairs, including the $diagnostic fee*** was constantly in touch with me during those few days, so I politely advised her that if she does not want to pay their diagnostic fee ( which most of dealership charge ), I would be more than happy to have one of our dealerships do it for free, all she would have to do was to bring or tow the car to Davis Toyota or any other Hanlees dealershipsShe refused to do thatAs you can understand no one will authorize any repair if the problem is not found or diagnosed, in other words, the warranty company could not give *** *** *** a green light on repairing what at that time was an unknown issue. I believe we did the best we possibly could to accommodate Mrs*** and I am not sure if there was anything else we could have done at that momentAs far as I know the warranty covered her issues***, as you can understand we sell cars, customers then have an option to purchase an extended warranty, which Davis Toyota has nothing to do withI don't think any of us were unreasonable or mistreated Mrs*** in any way. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. If there are no other questions or concerns, please remove it from the negative status. Thank you Sincerely, *** ***

Review: Alarm does not work right and has not since buying Camey2012. Toyota will not take out or DealerWorks which is under contract with ToyotaAlarm Co.)

Bought Camry in Dec 2012. Started have problems with alarm right away. Called DealerWorks Jan.2013 Man came out ,20 mins. later told me nothing wrong ,left. March 2013 took car out to DealerWorks, treated me as if I was a dumb women. [redacted] told me to check booklet when something is wrong.Told [redacted] never got one or told how to use. [redacted] printed me off booklet. Told once again nothing wrong. All along alarm is still going off when ever, responding in panic when locking door ,opening truck etc.Along ,people looking at me as if I was doing it.If, I got in car lock my door when I started car,it would react as if it was being stolen. Going off in long beeps, stop and repeat.Would have to turn off car start over.Augs 2013 car in garage alarm go's off(nothing in garage besides it)repeating going off over and over. Call DealerWorks, lady told me how to turn off alarm after explain what was going on.She told me no one was there that could do anything.I ask how to turn off.Car now is getting worse at going off on its own.Sept 2013 called DealerWorks ,explain what was going on and that I wanted it taken out.[redacted] told me to call dealership, they take care of that.At this point start passing me person to person back and fourth.First talk to [redacted] service dept.Told me he did not have the right to take it out. Plus that by my voice I was a person in my fifties and I don't understand how to use electronics or choose to learn. (saying that's the problem not the alarm)Told me he would check something and call me back. Never did. [redacted] called from DealerWorks, wanted to look at alarm, but would not take it out, said he could fixs it. By this time it has been 9 months of me telling them something was wrong, living with an alarm with a life of its own,the enbarrment of people looking at me wondering what my problem was.Middle of night alarm going off etc. Enough! I told him No.,I want it out. That will fixs it for sure. Plus what's does it matter if its taken out or in.[redacted] told me they (Toyota or Dealer Works does not want to be out money. But,it was okay that I paid for something the last 9 months that did not work.[redacted] told me that there was a part that should of been put on with alarm due to the year of my car.Plus, [redacted] also told me having/looking in booklet would not have been in booklet to fix's problem. The same day [redacted] look at car, alarm went off as I was backing out of parking space.A lady bend over wave her hand and called me a foul name. Enough![redacted] wanted to put part in,told him No,I want it out. From,Sept20th -present day Sept 29,2013 have been throw back in fouth from [redacted] (toyota) to [redacted](dealerworks . On, Wed 25,Wes had me call [redacted] in sales dept. at Toyota. After a few phone calls to [redacted] he told me he was going to make it right ,he understood how I felt and he was working till 9:00pm and he would make some phone calls get Toyota to take it out and gave all the money I have paid so far for it back.Plus, take remaining amount off my payments.he said he would call me back never did Tried to contact him Sept 26, 27 & 28 after run around told it was his day off. Called [redacted] at Toyota on Sat. 28 told he was busy left message for him to call me and phone number, never called me. My vehicle no. is 4T1BF1FKXCUXXXXXX, my account no.XXXXXXXXXX,payment amount 268.36 monthly. All this time I have try to get these companies to fix's the problem, they have told me over and over that there was not a problem. That I was a dumb old women!!Not smart enough to work alarm. To find out there is a part missing that should have been put on when alarm was put in car, before I pick up car from dealership.I have live ,deal (tried) and put up with embarrment, called foul names. ,all to come to a place if they would have taken me seriously and fix it to began with I would not have gone though all of this.We would not be where we are today. I just want it out of my car. Desired Settlement: The alarm taken out of car, money I have paid in my car payment for alarm gaving back to me and the rest of the alarm amount add into payments taken out with a new car payment amount. I believe that I as a women and as a sr. have been treated very wrong,by both companies There are laws against treating people in this matter!! All of the things that I am asking for will be done by Toyota and DealerWorks . Costing me nothing. I would also like [redacted] to come to my home and remove alarm from my car.

Business

Response:

Initial Business Response

One of our managers [redacted] has been in contact with Ms. [redacted] and we are in the process of refunding the bank financing her vehicle the amount for the alarm and remove it from her vehicle. She will not let us remove it until she verifies that her bank has received the refund.

Once everything is complete I believe she will be very happy.

Sincerely

Review: While in the finance manager's ([redacted])office, and waiting to begin signing contract, [redacted] said he wanted me to buy his EXTENDED WARRANTY. I immediately said NO. I was adamant saying that I could not afford any more added on to my car payment. Instead of leaving the issue he continued to badger me with extreme high pressure sales tactics. He used everything in the book to try to convince me - telling me he would want this for his own two girls and that it wouldn't be wise for me NOT to have the warranty. Again I tried telling him no. I said I simply could not afford it and did not want it on my contract. He then asked if I had any money in my checking account or on a credit card that I could use and I said that I didn't have anything like that with me and he suggested that he could have the salesman, [redacted] follow me home to gather whatever it was that I needed to make the purchase of the warranty. I said I did not want to do that and I told him again that I was tired and wanted to finish the contract and go home. He continued to badger me. I said I would go home and think about it. He said no that wouldn't work. He said I had to buy it NOW. He said it would not be available to buy tomorrow. He went on to tell me he would not make any money off the sale and that he was just thinking of my best interests. I was exhausted and finally gave in. A few moments later I told [redacted] I was unhappy and did not want the warranty and could he please cancel it. He said he could cancel it but that my payment would NOT GO DOWN BUT WOULD REMAIN THE SAME. I was flabbergasted. The next day I sent an email to [redacted] saying how unhappy I was that I had allowed [redacted] to talk me into something I told him I did not want. [redacted] never responded. The warranty made my car payment go up over $45 to an amount that I now could not afford. To make things worse, I had already told [redacted] I had the money in savings and did not even want a loan in the first place. I feel I was taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: I prefer not to deal with this dealership ever again. But under the circumstances I would be happier with a new contract that has the same interest rate (or lower but not higher) and NO EXTENDED WARRANTY. I spoke with a loan officer at my credit union who said he did not understand how I was approved for a loan in the first place with all things considered. I live on a very small pension and am maxed out every month with my current expenses.Hence my reason for drawing from savings.

Review: The problem is that I bought a Sienna at the end of April from them. At the time of sale we chose to have a [redacted] chip installed so in case the vehicle was stolen, the van would be easily located by following the signals on the chip. But said chip has yet to be installed and due to that I no longer want this system or chip. I have been calling the company for over 2 months in which they tell me they will reimburse the money but to this day it has not been returned. That is why I am seeking help to see what I can do to get this money returned to the financial company.Desired Settlement: Return the money to the financial company.

I was in the market for a new 2016 Toyota Tacoma truck and started calling dealers all over California looking for the right truck. Upon finding the truck at hanlees davis Toyota I negotiated a stand MSRP price they sent me text messages with images of the sticker on the truck. The next day when I arrived at the dealer after driving 300 miles from Ventura ca to Sacramento they added $4000.00 to the price above MSRP
