Busines Plan for Oakland wellness facility
I am writing this review because BP Consultants asked me to share my experience with their company BP Consulting. The services I ordered was in September 2023 but apparently the comapny had some competitors leave bogus reviews so Mr. Hanna aske me if I was willing to share my experience now.

I am in thehealth care business and I wanted to open a wellness facility to provide the bay area with wieght loss and stress management services. I am 43 and I know my business well, but I had never started a small business before. I needed funds from a private source and the space I had piccked out required a business plan as there were other competitors biddong for the same location. I found BP Consultants online and had a great initial conversation with Mr. Joe Hanna. The price was affordable and he sounded knowledgeable so I hired his company to help me with my project. We worked on my business concept first, and then he prepared 3 years financia projections. After we agreed on the numbers, he should me the business plan and it was incredible. The document was 27 pages long and it was designed to go to my private investor for funding and to go to the landlord to get the space. I am happy to say that my partner was very impressed wth the plan and also the landlord chose me for the space.

I really don't think I could have done all this without Mr. Hanna's help. He is so knowledgeable and put a lot of time with me to explain things. I am so happy I found this company and I will use them for al of my future business questions in the future.

If you are hesitant because of a few negative reviews that probably were written by competitors or even some disgruntled employees with an ax to grind, I would say to talk to Joe. I am sure he can provide you with a good comfort level like he did with me. Once you start the process, you will be glad you chose the perfect company to help you with your business.

Got funded.... SUPER PLEASED
Like many minority business owners, I knew there were some funding programs for me but didn't know how to access. BP Consultants explained possible programs and went through a checklist of questions before they agreed to take my project. When I saw the financials I was blown away. When I go the finished business plan, I was so proud of how they presented me and my company. I am so pleased I hired BP Consultants. Ans I will use them again for my other projects in the near future.

Nothing received from Hanna Consultants after paying $40,000 for business plan creation, consulting and a one time "Investment".
I initially contacted JJ Hanna (Joseph Jean Hanna) through his website www.preparebusinessplan.com needing a business plan. At this time I indicated this deal may not go through and I would need an additional business plan for a follow on business. We agreed to move forward. During negotiation a deal could not be met. I hired JJ for another $5000 to be my consultant. The agreement was he would be my consultant on a follow on deal as well.
After that deal fell through JJ presented me with an investment opportunity to make %10 on my money quickly. JJ sent me a promissory note on 12/5/19 which indicated he would pay me $33k on December 18th. We both signed it and I wired JJ $30k. On December 18th I did not receive payment. I attempted to get in touch with JJ and he ignored all calls, texts, and emails. I tricked him into calling me back by submitting another inquiry through his website. He indicated he would pay me back on January 2nd. He has still not responded to any of my calls, texts, or emails.

Desired Outcome

I would like a total refund of the $10k for business plan and consulting. I would like $33k paid as part of the promissory note deal.

The complaint filed by consumer alleges 2 separate transactions. The first related to Business Planning and Consulting services in the amount of $10,000 paid for services provided in the course of normal business operations. The first transaction is indeed a consumer transaction and the transaction is discussed in more detail below.
_______________________________________________ The second transaction as disclosed by the complaintant is a NON-CONSUMER transaction whereby complaintant is no longer acting as a consumer but has become a creditor per the document that was disclosed by the comlaintant. In regards to the transaction, we are prohibited from discussing details of the transaction as per the document that the complaintant offered, specifically the non-disclosure . We therefore cannot stipulate any parts of the transaction other than to point out that per the contract disclosed by complaintant, that the consumer roles are reversed and that the complaintant is in fact the business acting as a lender, whereby we are the consumer. Furthermore action may be underway to determine if Texas predatory lending regulations, specifically Texas usury laws were violated to our detriment as a business debt consumer.

In response to the the only business transaction of the complaint (the first transaction in the amount of $10,000), we do stipulate that on 10/28/2019 consumer hired our business planning services for $5,000 to prepare a RUSH business plan by November 11th and another $5,000 for business advisory services. As the consumer stated, after weeks of hard work on the project, he decided NOT TO GO THROUGH with the transaction. As a good faith gesture, I agreed to extend my services to one additional purchase prospect. I did NOT HAVE TO DO this. The documents and chain of our communication is attached to this response.

Refund for services not rendered/incomplete and loan amount equaling $5,318.70.
I researched online for a business plan writer and found www.preparebusinessplan.com. JJ ***, President, called me and we discussed my project. Mr. was very attentive and understood my asks and guided me on what to do with my startup. We spoke frequently and he gained my trust quickly - enough to gain my business the first day we spoke. He charged me $500 for the business plan (includes Financial Forecast) that was $799 (Discount for new clients) and asked me to pay via Zelle, which I did on September 9, 2019. He asked for the difference of $299 when he finished drafting the Financial Forecast. I asked him to change a few numbers on the Financial Forecast and to send to me completed. I have not, to this day, received an updated/completed Financial Forecast. Mr. and I spoke frequently, and he was able to convince me to purchase an Investment Business Plan with him for $670 because the first business plan was written for grants. He kept telling me that his assistant, Valerie, was almost done with the grant business plan, but till this day, I have not received anything. We spoke about a Patent and I told him I had a Patent Attorney in mind, and he asked me how much he was charging me and said he would do it for $350. He did explain that he did not like to do them but would do it to help me out. Later on in our conversations we thought it would be best that my product engineer do the Patent so he did agree to refund me $350. He asked me a lot about my Financials because he is a CPA and I was interested in having help since that seemed to be his background. He told me about Small Business Loans and told me $558.30 that if I wanted to make some cash on the side, he would add my funds ($2,000) to his and I would get $ in two weeks. He provided me a promissory note for the $2,000. I did get the $558.30 as promised but decided to keep my $2,000 to invest for the same amount back for another month (4 weeks). This time I asked for a promissory note and I never received one. We spoke again and I mentioned the promissory notes to him and he said he would get them for me. During that call, he wanted to know where his company would fit in after the business plans were finished and I told him that I would like for him to be my consultant. He said he charged $5,000 a month and available 24/7, but to help me out he would charge me $2,000 a month and would be available 24/7. He said he would also add in helping me with my web design which I was reluctant to say yes because he is already doing so much for my business, but he insisted because he said he could get me a good deal. So I paid him via Cash App on October 1st. He never wanted to go through Credit Cards because of the fees he said, so I had to take a cash advancement using the app. I now know that he wanted me to use these apps because they are same as cash and they cannot be disputed. I have not spoken to Mr. since the October 1st payment. I tried calling and leaving text messages. He would finally text back and we would schedule a time to call but when the time came, he was not available. By this time my intuition really kicked in and I told him that I no longer want to work with him because I was no longer comfortable working with him because I have not seen any deliverables which I asked for, promissory notes and SLA's for consulting so I asked for my money back. I told him via email that I would let him finish the grant business plan and investment business plan if I approve and it is complete then he can keep those funds that he earned.
After I asked for my money back, Mr. finally wrote an email regarding my concerns detailing how there are no refunds and if anything, I owe him money. His email is ludicrous, false and made up. He completely had me trusting him and then took advantage of me. I am appalled that he would stoop so low knowing that I am a single mom and trying to get my business started. In response to ***'s complaint filed on October XX XXXX: In August 2019, *** contacted us for various services including a Business Plan and general advisory services for a company called ARA LLC, which we provided fully. She has a past due balance of $1,700. What she did not disclose at that time is that she is FRAUDULENTLY using her sister as a front for her business ARA LLC - the actual client that *** is NOT an owner of. When our attorney inquired further, we discovered that *** is currently in a civil court proceeding. This is her attempt to keep assets HIDDEN from her court proceeding with her husband. WE WILL NOT BE A PARTY TO ***'S EFFORTS TO EMBEZZLE FUNDS FROM HER HUSBAND. We reached out to her to resolve the matter and continued providing services despite the fact that she owes us $1,700. She refuses to disclose the LLC to her husband, and has not paid us the remainder of our fee.

Mr. allegations are false - there are no embezzlement of funds, mind you these words are coming from someone who is doing business ILLEGALLY according to the Texas Comptrollers Office. The Secretary of States has on record that his business is "Forfeited" since the beginning of 2018 which means he owes taxes. Since Mr. continues to tell lies, do business illegally and now accuse me of embezzlement, I will now proceed with legal counsel to close this case.

There has been a breach of contract. JJ *** has not delivered 2 business plans as promised and has been elusive and non communicative
On July 16th I contracted JJ *** to produce two separate business plans for me. One for the Landlord and One for my potential Investors. He insisted I payed him in full , which I resisted but did anyway because I trusted the person that introduced him to me. He has basically absconded with my $1,000. I spoke to him two or three, times. Last time was in July , he mentioned he had been sick. I have not heard a word since. And he will not take my calls.

In response to ***'s complaint (Revdex.com CASE#: ***'s description of the case is erroneous. On July 16th, a mutual and satisfied previous client of ours (*** asked us to provide services for ***, and requested us to do so at a deep discount as a favor (see attached #1 inquiry). We had a 3 week waiting period for new clients at that time. As a good faith gesture to my previous client, I agreed to provide services to *** AT A DEEP DISCOUNT ($1,000 instead of $2,500) provided that *** would be available immediately to provide us required information. We had major upcoming obligations to other clients starting soon. I expressly notified *** that the project would have to be completed NO LATER THAN July 22nd. This was a deal breaker for my firm (see attached #2 contract). *** agreed to the above and also agreed to be available that evening (see attached #3 acceptance of contract). He was not available that evening until well after after 10pm, so I scheduled a call for that following weekend. Later, he informed me that he decided to take his child to New York for the weekend, so again, he was not available. We also sent him a short questionnaire that is essential to provide us with pertinent information (see attached # 4 questionnaire). The Business Plan process requires this questionnaire to be filled out, otherwise we have no factual basis or details to write about. The questionnaire (attached #4)is comprised of 6 sections, all of them imperative to preparing the document. Not only did *** completely disregard the second half of the questionnaire, he barely provided much info for the first three questions (see attached # 5 client answers to questionnaire). Next time we spoke, I emphasized the importance of providing well thought out answers, so we may finish the document in time. He promised he would provide answers within the next few days. In the meantime, we developed a financial model for his business (see attached # 6 financial plan). Until this day, we have NOT RECEIVED ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION from ***. For the financial plan that I prepared, the cost for that service is normally $1,499 (see attached # 7 price list that is clearly posted on my website). *** finally texted me July 20th asking me to call him (2 days before the project was to end). I told him during that call that there was no way to finish the project by the 22nd as he had originally agreed to. I didn't hear back from him again until July 30th (by text only) with pointed threats. The last email ever received from him was July 17th (the partial answers to the questionnaire - attached # 5). NO OTHER COMMUNICATION FROM *** WAS EVER RECEIVED AFTER THAT. We believe that *** had a falling out with his partner *** after he hired us, and he changed his mind about moving forward with starting his business. Now four months later after ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION, he has sent me a threatening me text (and for some reason included his partner *** in the same threatening text. My communication has always been with ***, and not *** At this point, as a good faith gesture we would still be willing to finish his Business Plan provided he pays the normal fee of $2,500 (minus the $1,000 he already paid) AND provided he completes the questionnaire on a timely basis.
