Thank you for your help but I guess we have to allow the court system resolve this matter since our point isn't being seen by the business because we don't know whether this is a true statement or not because we haven't seen anything from court system nor the police.

Review: In the beginning I explained to [redacted] that we had a car that had been sitting for about 8 months that we were trying to have repaired for our son [redacted] to drive back to college he informed me to have it towed there and that he could fix it for me and I asked him in the midst of him fixing the car I asked him to put in a timing belt and a water pump. My husband told him that it had a water leak and he responded that they would find out what was causing it and repair it. Once he replaced the timing belt and water pump he said that the leak was coming from the turbo on the car and that he couldn't repair it that it had to be replaced with a remanufactured one we okay the repairs based on his recommendation. After his mechanic completed the work on the turbo and test drove the vehicle he notice that the vehicle had a major oil leak, he then informed us that the rear mail seal was bad and need to be replaced and again by his recommendation we had that replaced, by now figuring we had the vehicle fixed by then we paid him 1800.10 for the work that was done. After going to pick up the car I notice that water was all in the inside of the car about an inch deep, My husband was then informed that the heater coil needed to be repaired and upon his recommendation I had that repaired because we were getting it ready for our son and wanted him to have something reliable since he attends school 2 1/2 hours away. The evening of August 14th we pick the vehicle up after 8 pm and brought the vehicle home. On August 15th My son and my husband were on their way to school and the car broke down on I-895 and they had to pull over. We then had the vehicle towed back to Hanover Tire when we were informed the same day that the motor had blown. It hadn't been 24 hr since we had picked up the car that this happened. It is true that we owed an additional 700.00 dollars for the latter repairs, but we had already spent 1800.10 on recommended repairs because we don't know much about vehicles so we were going by what was recommended to us. We are now without a car and have lost 1800.10 and to add insult to that we were informed by [redacted] it wasn't his fault that the motor had blown. We are people that believe in paying our bills, but we fell like we were done an injustice. We were willing to walk away with losing the 1800.10 since we have no car and nothing else to show for it. We are on the short in of the stick, but he wants to take us to court for the remaining 700.00 for labor, cost of court, lost wages and for a part that was only 53.00. We agreed to pay him the 700.00 dollars by the end of September because he said he could fix my car, well as you can see the car isn't fixed so we feel that he isn't due this 700.00. I also would like to put on record that he told my husband that he had only worked on one other volvo other than ours. We don't know what to do because we don't have the money to do this. We were willing to walk away and eat the 1800.10 and not have a car but he wants to push the issue.Desired Settlement: That they will refund all our money back and an apology because he is trying to slander my husband character and reputation because he is a minister which was stated in a voice mail that he left on my husband cell phone.
