Review: Called to reserve a couple nights of boarding for my American bulldog at Hanoveryourpet. The person took my information and dogs information including breed to reserve the spot. Per the website, dogs that board are also included in day care. Based on that and the boarding info on the website and provided via phone, I assumed my dog would socialize and play while boarded. Upon picking her up I was advised that because of her breed ALONE, she was not allowed to play with other dogs. She has never been aggressive and plays nicely at other doggie day cares but at this business was not given the opportunity to play with others purely because of her breed. They further advised me (upon pickup) that they treat all mastiffs, cane corsos and select other large breeds this way. Had I known that she would not be treated as the website stated and that she would be isolated by no fault of her own I would never have taken her there. I just expect businesses to be fair. Had she misbehaved and had to be isolated that would be understandable but just to isolate based on breed is discriminatory and promotes breed mistreatment and stereotypes.Desired Settlement: Discrimination should be based on animal behavior not breed alone. I would request a change in company policy to remove this type of "racial" aka, breed discrimination.
