Review: I have paid for services that were not delivered. I was given an Estimate of $450 to top a cherry tree and remove a Spruce tree and also to grind the stump of the spruce tree. This was on March 7, 2014. On March 15th, 2014, [redacted] Schwartz and his crew cut down the spruce tree but told me they didn't have the stump grinder with them. He told me he would be back within the week to complete the job on the Spruce and also top the Cherry Tree. The monetary breakdown of the job was $150 to cut down and remove the Spruce, $100 to grind the stump of the Spruce and $200 to trim or top the Cherry Tree. I believed [redacted] when he told me he would be returning during the week of March 16th so I paid him $250 for the Spruce removal and I also paid for the stump grinding. I told him I would pay for the Cherry Tree work when it was complete during the week. It is now April 26th, 2014 and I have not had anyone return to complete the work. I have called and spoken to his family members, (Wife, Daughter and Mother) everyone said they would have [redacted] return a call but he has not. His son returned one call after I called 4 times on March 25, 2014 but seemed unaware who I was. After a short conversation I could tell he knew me but also lied about coming to finish the job that week. I had spoken to multiple neighbors now who tell me that [redacted] is a crook who use to work for Asplund Tree Service and was fired for using their equipment for his own use. He also is in the habit of taking other peoples money as a down payment on jobs and than never returning to complete the work. I really think that once I overpaid him on March 15th, he fully intended to never come back and finish the work. I have since hired someone else to complete the work on the Cherry Tree but I still need the Spruce Tree Stump Grinded. I want my $100 returned!Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $100 back for the work that was not provided. I do not want [redacted] to finish the job at this point. I only want my money back for not grinding the Spruce Tree trunk.
