This complaint and unrealistic demands for a more than full refund sincerely comes as a shockThe following is the real and true account of what has transpired both transactionally and from a warranty perspective with [redacted] and [redacted] :May of 2013, [redacted] and [redacted] invite me to discuss basement waterproofing options, by their own description of the issues they have experienced periodically over the years, The Beaver Basement System was the best option for them, both functionally and budgetaryThe system was installed per the manufacturer's specifications in the 1st week of Junethe system was given a thorough and live test to test for any leaks It was fully functioning and immediately was proven effective due to the large amounts of rain that summerSeptember 2013, [redacted] and [redacted] contacted me regarding some water seeping towards the center of the house in the concrete slab, not from the Beaver Basement System I stated at that time that is was due to hydrostatic pressures below the slab and suggested an epoxy crack fix during the winter months when there wasn't water present beneath the concrete basement slab I did have some of the epoxy on hand at the time and obliged with fixing the problem cracks at that time since the product did allow for wet conditions to apply though not idealJuly of 2014, I was contacted by [redacted] 's mother, who had traded houses with [redacted] since last year and there was water all over her basement I immediately responded and arrived to find that the sump/leech pit, integral in the installation of the Beaver Basement System, had somehow been unplugged Water was pouring from the sump/leech pit area due to the lack of the pump not operating for some time I plugged the system in and informed the new homeowner's that the system would be running quite a while before we can re-assess the situation to see if there is something malfunctioning with the system To help encourage the flow of water into the pit I drilled additional holes into the sump/leech pit I also noted at that time that the crack repairs performed last fall had failed I asked that the new owners please inform me when the sump pump is no longer running constantly so I could re-evaluate August 2014, I was contacted by [redacted] 's mother that the system was running only periodically but her availability in scheduling delayed my return for weeks Upon my return, I retested the system to find there was no leaks coming from the beaver basement system While I was there, I told a man who lived there( [redacted] 's stepfather possibly) the following:-the Beaver system was operating and not damaged-the system being unplugged was what led to the large amounts of water in the basement-the cracks in the slab were beyond what I was originally contracted for but I would help remedy before next spring I even left the tools and product to accomplish thisSeptember 2014, after a few messages left by [redacted] 's mother, it became obvious that the fellow I spoke with when I was there last, had not relayed my message effectively I then left her a message that restated my intentions for repair of the cracks in the basement floor slab before the spring of This is due to the fact that, ideally these types of repairs work best in dry basement conditions, winter early spring to be exactFebruary 2015, The Revdex.com informs me of the [redacted] 's complaint, I respond with a genuine offer to provide services that I promised, prior to spring of The [redacted] 's responded by stating that they would like more than the original bid amount back in order to withdraw their complaint The tone and content of their complaint is unfounded and borders on libel.I have been in business for over years and have never encountered such a wild turn of events with any project or client I am concerned with the "professional" that they have allegedly hired to do further repairs on there still existing water problems I will use this final comment to warn the [redacted] 's that the only way to fix their problem is to repair the cracks in the slab, or re-pour an entirely new concrete slab in the basement and incorporate a swale system into itI wish you well, contact me if your situation becomes dire, I am still wiling to help

*** & *** ***
March 20, 2015Mr& Mrs*** have filed this complaint on behalf of and in solidarity with Ms***, Mrs***'s elderly motherMr***'s response is unacceptable and we reject itMr***, sadly, chooses to lie to us and omit important facts in his latest response, calling them honest and factual, when he knows that we know he is lying to us, in order to save faceThat is utterly disappointing and we are really sad about itEspecially coming from a person who wishes to have people's trustHe lost oursWe do not want to continue to deal with someone who is willing to lie to us in front of others to "save face" In addition, his obvious disrespecting of the current hired professional who revealed to us the erroneous nature of Mr***'s installation is inappropriateThe current professional reported to us with great concern and distress that the holes Mr*** admitted to drilling into the sump pump basket was a destructive action that "borders on criminal" - those were the words of the current professional who is willing to go on record as to the nature of Mr***'s work for usWe had held back from using that quote, but since Mr*** continues to use the words "bordering on libel" in response to our effort to resolve this horrible situation, we feel it is necessary to state the actual severity of the reveal the current professional had that led to this complaint in the first placeMr*** states he has never encountered a situation like this, and neither have we! We would expect someone with Mr***'s stated years of professional experience would be willing to admit mistakes and slip-ups and own up to it in a mature and honest wayWhy isn't he?Corrections to Mr***'s latest response: The sump pump in the basket is not the same pump that goes with the system. Ms*** told Mr*** that she could be available anytime he could be thereThere was no conflict of schedules. Mr*** never sent a message or call to Ms*** or anyone else in the family after saying that he would come back when the water was gone, despite all of Ms***'s calls and messages. The last time Mr*** spoke with Ms*** in person (July 2014) he told her the warranty for a part would be up in August and to call him before that and when the water was goneShe called him before the warranty was to expire and when the water was goneShe called and left messages repeatedlyMr*** never responded with a call or a message to Ms***'s phone or anyone else involved Even if he had told Ms***'s friend about an intention to come back that doesn't excuse or explain his lack of response to Ms***'s pleas for him to contact herNor does it explain his lack of response to Mrs***'s call in late summer, trying to help her mother connect with himIn fact, Mr*** changed his statement which in the response before the latest one he had lied that he had answered Ms***'s calls and messagesNo matter how many times he says he contacted Ms***, the parties involved know he didn'tMs*** was lost and confused about Mr***'s lack of response (customer service) and didn't understand why he wouldn't call her back! She and her friend (who Mr*** incorrectly referenced) were concerned that something had happened to Mr*** because of his continued lack of response despite so many calls and messagesMs*** and Mr& Mrs***, in the last response to Mr***, stated that the amount of guarantee refund to be honored is negotiable and flexibleNo one filing the complaint seeks to obtain greater refund than is reasonable to the situationMr*** ignored that. When the ***'s hired Mr*** in summer of the understanding from the beginning was that the house had only ever experienced seepage through the floor cracks and where the floor meets the walls in various placesMr*** was fully aware of the nature of the entire issueThe house had rarely had an issue with seepage until recent years when the water table was unusually high6. The system was unplugged for a time and Mr*** did inform Ms*** of that and the need to keep it plugged in, and told her that was the cause for all the waterHowever, that was not the cause or what led to the system being ineffective, and damaging, as we found out, via current professionalHe explained that not only the holes in the sump pump basket, but the way Mr*** installed the beaver system, the sump pump and the drainage system had damaging effects on the foundation of the house and the system itselfMr*** guaranteed his work and the system to the ***s in and again to Ms*** in 2014, without a statement of when that guarantee would expireThere was a trust and understanding that the system was guaranteed to work and if not, Mr*** was fully prepared to deal with that and honor the dealThe repairs with the current professional hired, due to Mr***'s actions, have equaled the same amount that Mr*** had charged for his servicesThis is a complete failure of Mr***'s servicesIf, a year later a $3,system fails and causes further damage and then $3,more has to be paid to correct it, that equals a need to honor the guarantee and admit what was done was wrongIt wasn't years later or ONE year later what Mr*** had done was ruined by his own actions! Mr***'s suggestion to fill a new concrete slab into the basement as the only recourse to fix the problem is stunning, because when the ***s first hired him they inquired a few times as to whether doing that would be bestMr*** was quick to stress to the ***s that that approach was unnecessary and not what he would recommend for the situation! We do not require any more advice or services from Mr***. We wish to resolve this issue with Mr*** and yet, he is obviously unwilling to take responsibility for his mistakes that caused critical issues that had adverse effects to Ms***'s quality of life and the very structure of her houseMs*** and the ***s are deeply saddened by the whole situationIt is stressful, upsetting and sadThis is all because of Mr***'s drilling large holes all over the sump pump basket, his installation, placement of drainage and later, his complete unresponsiveness paired with his need to save face rather than step up and take responsibility, honor the agreement and make amends for a regrettable and bad situation One last time, we respectfully ask for a refundAgain, the amount is fully negotiable as long as it is deemed fair by both parties

I'm completely surprised and beside myself by this complaint Since installing the system, I have returned to the site for issues that were beyond the scope of the initial install During the summer of I received two calls from *** and ***s mother I returned to the
site in the second week of July to find the sump pump unplugged, and the basement was obviously flooded I informed the homeowner that the system would have to catch up with the fact that the system hasn't been operating I returned weeks later in the hopes that the basement would be dry enough to use an epoxy product designed for filling hairline cracks in concrete, unfortunately it wasn't I stated that I would return when conditions were more favorable for repair I was contacted by *** in August to please contact her mother I did so and left a message that I would return prior to any heavy rains hence the products left by me to fix the floor cracks It is now winter and I have been very busy have every intention of returning to do work that was certainly beyond any warranty work but I felt for the needs of the client prior to any flood conditions this spring I consider this complaint a form of libel and would like to contest all elements of it.If need be I would provide a point by point argument of all things stated Please contact me with the next step.Respectfully,*** ***
