Hansen's Used Cars Reviews (1)

This complaint and unrealistic demands for a more than full refund sincerely comes as a shock. The following is the real and true account of what has transpired both transactionally and from a warranty perspective with [redacted] and [redacted]:1. May of 2013, [redacted] and [redacted] invite me to discuss basement waterproofing options, by their own description of the issues they have experienced periodically over the years, The Beaver Basement System was the best option for them, both functionally and budgetary.2. The system was installed per the manufacturer's specifications in the 1st week of June. the system was given a thorough and live test to test for any leaks.  It was fully functioning and immediately was proven effective due to the large amounts of rain that summer.3. September 2013, [redacted] and [redacted] contacted me regarding some water seeping towards the center of the house in the concrete slab, not from the Beaver Basement System.  I stated at that time that is was due to hydrostatic pressures below the slab and suggested an epoxy crack fix during the winter months when there wasn't water present beneath the concrete basement slab.  I did have some of the epoxy on hand at the time and obliged with fixing the problem cracks at that time since the product did allow for wet conditions to apply though not ideal.4. July of 2014, I was contacted by [redacted]'s mother, who had traded houses with [redacted] since last year and there was water all over her basement.  I immediately responded and arrived to find that the sump/leech pit,  integral in the installation of the Beaver Basement System, had somehow been unplugged.  Water was pouring from the sump/leech pit area due to the lack of the pump not operating for some time.  I plugged the system in and informed the new homeowner's that the system would be running quite a while before we can re-assess the situation to see if there is something malfunctioning with the system.  To help encourage the flow of water into the pit I drilled additional holes into the sump/leech pit.   I also noted at that time that the crack repairs performed last fall had failed.  I asked that the new owners please inform me when the sump pump is no longer running constantly so I could re-evaluate.  5. August 2014, I was contacted by [redacted]'s mother that the system was running only periodically but her availability in scheduling delayed my return for 3 weeks.  Upon my return, I retested the system to find there was no leaks coming from the beaver basement system.  While I was there, I told a man who lived there([redacted]'s stepfather possibly) the following:-the Beaver system was operating and not damaged-the system being unplugged was what led to the large amounts of water in the basement-the cracks in the slab were beyond what I was originally contracted for but I would help remedy before next spring.  I even left the tools and product to accomplish this6. September 2014,  after a few messages left by [redacted]'s mother, it became obvious that the fellow I spoke with when I was there last, had not relayed my message effectively.  I then left her a message that restated my intentions for repair of the cracks in the basement floor slab before the spring of 2015.  This is due to the fact that, ideally these types of repairs work best in dry basement conditions, winter early spring to be exact.7. February 2015, The Revdex.com informs me of the [redacted]'s complaint, I respond with a genuine offer to provide services that I promised, prior to spring of 2015.  The [redacted]'s responded by stating that they would like more than the original bid amount back in order to withdraw their complaint.  The tone and content of their complaint is unfounded and borders on libel.I have been in business for over 20 years and have never encountered such a wild turn of events with any project or client.  I am concerned with the "professional" that they have allegedly hired to do further repairs on there still existing water problems.  I will use this final comment to warn the [redacted]'s that the only way to fix their problem is to repair the cracks in the slab, or re-pour an entirely new concrete slab in the basement and incorporate a swale system into it. I wish you well, contact me if your situation becomes dire, I am still wiling to help.
