In response to complaint # [redacted] , we agree with the complainant that there are very fewinstances of problems with loaner vehicles while operating our business forover years However, the vehicle inquestion was a brand new Infiniti Qwith miles on it when [redacted] ***Hassan took possession of it Thevehicle was returned to Infiniti of Massapequa with miles after one weekof use on February [redacted] at 7:45PM Thevehicle was driven miles while in the complainants’ possession The [redacted] reviewed the vehicle onFebruary [redacted] and noticed damage that was repaired haphazardly The [redacted] notified the complainantimmediately of his findings It appearsthis vehicle had been damaged while in the complainants’ possession and thenrepaired quickly using substandard methodsSpray paint was applied to mask the damage to the fender andbumper There is also evidence of“hammer marks” on the fender to straighten out dents There is no possible way this vehicle wouldhave been put into loaner service in this condition The vehicle was in perfect condition withonly miles on it Afterconversations with the complainant, we believe the vehicle may have been usedwithout her knowledge and subsequently repaired in this substandardfashion Since the vehicle was under herresponsibility and in the parameters of her rental agreement, we’ve tried tospeak with the complainant about coming to an arrangement for repair but laterfound further damage and suggested the insurance company be notified We are extremely concerned that this vehiclemay have been involved in an accident while in the complainants’ responsibilitywhich is why we have requested our insurance company conduct an investigationto rectify this situation as soon as possible
