Hanzo Hattori Shears Reviews (4)

Hattori Hanzo Shears are made in China. As you can see from this bill of lading they are shipped from China to California . People who manufacture items in Japan don’t ship them to China before they send them to America. So the whole “ Japanese shears “thing is either a lie, or is very misleading

Hattori H[redacted] sold me 3 pairs of shears. Shears in which I paid for in full in 3 payments, not including a down payment. After the shears were paid off, I received no confirmation, other than a verbal one, that my account was paid in full. The next month I was charged again for a payment. After calling FIVE TIMES, I finally got someone on the phone. They assured me the issue was resolved. At the end of the month my card was charged again. I was forced to go to my bank and get a new debit card with a new number. After I took matters into my own hands, they would call me CONSTANTLY asking for payments with an automated phone message. I finally just gave up trying to get through to this company, and moved on. After all this happened, I check my credit score and they have sent a balance to a collection agency and it is now on my credit score. How this even happened is beyond my understanding. So now I have to deal with a collection agency over these paid in full shears, that are garbage.

Review: This company has wrongly charged my credit card without permission three times. I purchased scissors from them about a year ago, but ended up returning them because the quality of the shears were bad. I contacted one of their representatives a month ago and asked if they could sharpen the scissors I currently was using. They took the shears and the sharpening was perfect. I paid the rep with cash $35 and he gave me a receipt. Later that week, my credit card was charged for $35 or the sharpening, but I had already paid. I emailed them and it took them a long time to respond and fix the problem. I explained that I had only given my credit card information once and it was a year ago. I asked that they remove the card from their system. Two days ago, I looked at my credit card and had been charged for $35 again, and I have not had a sharpening or any contact with them. When I called the office, the manager was very short with me and when I asked why my credit card was still on file, she said she didn't know. I asked for her to remove it again, but I don't trust that it has. It makes me very uncomfortable. Also when the representatives come into my salon, they are very pushy salesman with myself and my other stylists. They interrupt services with our customers and invade personal space boundaries. I understand they want to sell their product, but they are very disrespectful. I love the way they sharpen my scissors, but it isn't worth all the trouble they have given us. I contacted the Revdex.com because I feel you should know about this behavior and the wrongly charging customer's bank accounts when they haven't even had services. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like to make sure my credit card information is removed immediately, I am very uncomfortable knowing that they may still have it. I would also like for them to re-sharpen my scissors for all the problems they have caused me.

Review: On March 21,2015 I wrote a check for a down payment for my granddaughter to purchase a pair of scissors from the rep, who comes into her school. [redacted] on Madison in Sacramento. The rep comes in and tells these girls they can purchase these scissors on a payment plan. The rep will come by and collect payments. Thought all was well, until Hattori stated taking payments out of MY checking account. I of course called them to ask what was going on, assuming a mistake. Oh no, they say that they had no credit card on file, only my down payment check, so they started using that on 5-27-15 and again 6-24-15, taking payments of $76.08. I never authorized or approved any such arrangement. On the 3rd conversation with [redacted] at Hattori, she says that my granddaughter authorized this to happen. I said ok, scan that contact and send it over. [redacted] says, oh, our contracts are verbal!! I had to laugh at that. I'm sure I need to call again to request the recorded contract. Trying to solve this on our own, we drove to El Dorado Hills on Friday, after confirming they were open and the hours. We arrived to a UPS store. I have contacted my banks fraud dept. And am confidant no future monies will be taken from me. But these people are very dishonest and shady. PLease help bring attention this, so no other young women are fooled by their practices.Thank you,[redacted]Desired Settlement: To bring attention to their shady ways, before someone else is stolen from.
