All warranty are void if it was damage by installation they drop a bolt inside the intake which damage the head it's explain on the back of the invoice as wellAs far as the mileage that was the last record on the cluster that is what we go by they can verify and we recommend they do

Review: Hap Auto sold me a 2011 hybrid battery that they said they tested and said was good. When I received it and had it installed it was not a good battery it was bad. Toyota service department ran a test on the battery and found it had bad battery cells in it. Hap Auto said they started the car it came out of and that is how they determined it was good. Toyota service department said that is not a sufficient way to test a haybrid battery. When I informed Hap Auto they said I had to ship it back at my expense. I refused to do so. Then they told me I could not get a refund since I did not ship them the original car battery battery I was trying to replace as a core exchange. I was in disbeleif who would send two batteries back when I just wanted to send the battery Hap Auto sold me back and get my refund. I felt like they sold me a bad battery then they had my money and their was nothing I could do about it. I spent $1300.00 on this battery. I am in the process of a visa refund dispute. I was Amazed how Hap Auto just told me to basically get lost you are out of luck. I would have to think it is illeagal to sell something that does not work and refuse to refund the purchase price.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I have shipped the battery back and am awaiting to see if Hap Auto give me a refund or if Visa will make them refund my purchase price. It should not have come to this but is has. I will never do business or recommend this company to anyone. All I want is my money refunded and they will have their non funtioning battery back.

This consumer bought our running battery, put it in his car and drove it around. He then found out he could get a new one from his dealership under warranty. He's trying to tell us the one we sent never worked. He sent us his old core back, not our battery, which we had marked in SEVERAL spots, with our name, in paint. there is not one single paint mark on this core battery that he sent us, which means it is not ours. He told us that the dealership wanted to keep our battery, and it looks like they did because we never got it back. Also, we've tried to call this consumer but he refuses to respond to us. If you want your money back, send us OUR part back, not your old core that doesn't work.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I never told HAP Auto that the Toyota dealership wanted to keep the battery that Hap sent me. The dealership told me that I would have to remove it from the car on my own. That they could not do it for me. I told HAP I would have to get it removed before I could send it back. When I got it removed HAP auto stated they could not help me with a return since I never sent them the original car battery as a core return. Once again as stated before why would I give them two batteries back when I was only going to return the battery HAP Auto shipped me. As far as the paint is concerned the battery had some of the paint remaining on it. All it had was paint on the nuts and bolts and the word HAP in about 3 inch size letters which rubbed right off the metal cap of the battery. Hap can try to uphold there reputation but in my words they are what they sell used parts that are no good.

Business' Final Response

Arguing back and forth is doing us no good. This consumer specifically told us that his dealership wanted to keep our battery and send us his old core back, then when we received the battery back there were NO paint markings on the part, which is what we use to distinguish our parts from others, otherwise people would be returning their old parts to us every day. There really is just no way that all of those markings just came off when the battery was installed and then uninstalled. This isn't about just taking someones money, we are a business and do the best we can for our customers, but you can't send us a part back that clearly is not ours and then complain that we're ripping you off. NO business would be ok with that. Again, paint markings do not just come off with installation. As far as accepting the battery back when it was returned, at that time we were willing to give your money back and just take our battery, until we realized it wasn't ours. And I'm guessing if we hadn't accepted delivery you would be out $250 x 2 for freight and demanding that we pay that too.

Review: Last week I was shopping for a used cylinder head for a 1998 [redacted] Civic EX. HAP Auto Wrecking displayed several of them for $100 each. Upon speaking with them they informed me the price was a misprint and the price was $250. Hap Auto Wrecking assured us the heads they sell are assemblies with camshaft and rocker arms. We agreed on $192 and I sent a friend to get the head. He brought back a head with a seized camshaft and spun cam sprocket. I pulled the cam out and sure enough one of the bearing journals was damaged as was the cam. I had another friend try and exchange the head. They told him that they never inspected the head and no one should have given it to us in the first place. We asked for a refund because I was getting the feeling like I didn't want to do business with such an establishment. Hap Auto Wrecking refused to give a refund even after admitting selling us a part that was bad and never inspected. They also informed us they do not give refunds if another part is available, and they had only one left. When the head arrived at my shop, again I removed the cam for inspection and found the camshaft lobes were ground down and the rocker shaft assembly was also ground down, not usable. After speaking with the owner, he informed me that he would not be giving a refund even though he had supplied me with 2 bad heads and no others were available.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $192
