HelloThank you for contacting meEvery year my company tries to give back to those less fortunateWe select a few jobs where we know good people need helpMs [redacted] had a number of issues she needed help with things they otherwise could not affordI decided it would be nice to help herI personally did the workMs [redacted] lives in a trailer that doesn't have standard plumbing or fixturesMs [redacted] selected this sink and we knew before hand the counter hole would need to be made largerThe sink hole was made larger to accommodate the sink she wanted and we had purchasedConstruction is not a standard practiceRemoving and installing things doesn't go the same every timeUsing a pry bar is perfectly fineThere was not a crow bar in the sense of a huge toolA 6" prybar was usedThere is nothing wrong with the sink, the faucet, or anything else that was doneMs [redacted] also wanted her bathroom floor fixed and some insulation doneWhen I determined cost for all this extra work suddenly her counter became crackedMs [redacted] had sent me a note when she received the quote for the extra workThat's when I was first made aware of any damagePlease keep in mind I had returned to her home in the interim to look at he additional prior to making the quote and was never told of any damage or any other issuesIt was only when the quote cameI did call Ms [redacted] and tried to talk to herShe was confrontational and had it in her mind she deserved a new kitchenI would never yell at a customer, let alone an elderly customerMe [redacted] only paid for the materials used in the jobShe received new sinks, fixtures, and drainsThere was also some other repair work done for $I offered to come see the counterI suggested a number of possible solutionsOne of which would have been to fill any crack and color match itShe became extremely mad when I offered that solutionIt was at this time she said she wanted new countersI did not do any damage to her homeMs [redacted] may have other issues contributing to her inability to understand there is nothing wrongI was in her home a month after the work was done when I was quoting the additional work and nothing was ever said to meIn fact, she said she loved washing potatoes in her new sinkIf there is something there now, it isn't from meI gave my time to help herI feel bad she needs to do thisI am not sure what I can do at this point to helpI feel bad she had to do thisThere is nothing wrong with the sink or the fixturesDoes she figure she can just request them with new countersHer proposed settlement would be in excess of one thousand dollarsThis job was done to help someoneIt was done by me and not a laborerThis entire "situation" arose when the quote for the additional work came backI cannot agree to fix something I did not doI don't want to see her upset so I am not sure what is expected of meSince it's the holidays I am willing to give her a further discountI would need to determine how to proceed and how much because this seems like I am blindly giving her money to make her happyThat would be openning the door for any looney toon to do the same if they read about itThere's also another term for what this feels like, but I will digress for the time beingThank you, ***
