Hello and good eveningMy name is *** *** and it was a pleasure speaking with you this morning regarding case *** *** ***As requested over the phone, I am sending you an email describing my truths
regarding this caseI would like to take this time to first introduce myself to youI have been in the car wash business for approximately forty years, and I have opened and operated seven successful car washes throughout Southern CaliforniaThis specific location was opened approximately six years ago, and this was the first time I saw this vehicle at this location
All the curtain's and brushes are 100% cloth, therefore this means that no other material beside item's made 100% from cloth touch any vehicle being washed through the tunnelHowever, this gentleman, Mr***, requested only an exterior hand washThis means that the vehicle was not even sent through the tunnel and the only object that can be used to wash and clean his vehicle were water, automobile soap, and towelsOur towels are not only 100% cloth, but are also specifically manufactured for car washesAlso, myself and another employee, MrRico, personally hand washed and dried his vehicle
Mr***, is not telling the truth because when he first arrived to the car wash his vehicle was covered with hard water stains, and my employee who assigns tickets, Mrs*** came into my office to have me check his vehicle to see how much it would cost to remove the hard water stainsOnce outside, I checked all around his vehicle to determine the amount and exact locations of the hard water stainsWhile observing his vehicle I did notice scratches on his rim, and a very deep cut that was approximately two to three inches long and deep, and in an angle, on his front windshield towards the passenger side of the vehicleIn my professional opinion it looked like a hard object such as a piece of metal, or rock hit his vehicle while in motion due to the angle of the cutThere is no way a cut that deep was caused by a 100% cloth towelI told Mr***, that our cost to wash and remove the hard water stains by a specific wax would cost $90.00, and would take approximately an hour and a half to complete the jobAt this time, Mr***, told me he did not have his wallet and he left the propertyA little while later he came back and told me that he did not want to wax his car, but to only purchase a hand wash outside of the tunnelMr*** took a seat in our patio and observed myself and Mr*** drying his vehicle, and once finished he came to collect his keys and leave, but my cashier quickly came outside and notified me that the car wash was not paid forI kindly asked him to go pay for his services before left and he did
He came back after approximately half an hour later and told me his windshield was damaged at this propertyI told him if he recalls that myself, along with two witnesses, checked his vehicle for hard water stains and locations of such stainsI told him that I did notice that deep angled cut before he left the first time, and that there would be no way such a cut would come from a towelAt this point, I not only showed him our towels that we use on vehicle's, but I also gave him a demonstration on how we dry our vehiclesI showed him that we use an up and downwards (straight) motion to dry not only the windows but the whole vehicle, and that we do not use an angled (crooked) motionHe witnessed this process through my other employees as wellTherefore, I told him that he was more than welcome to call his insurance company and have them send an inspector to come and observe our towels, and to come check that all my car-washing employees do not wear rings or watches, nor do they smoke and/or eat in customer vehiclesAs of today, Mr*** has not sent an inspector, but has rather contacted youMrs*** should you have any further questions please feel free to contact meThank you

-Myself along with two witnesses noticed his cut on his vehicle
-Myself along with two witnesses noticed that he was attempting to leave the property before paying for services
-Our towels are washed with specific wash machines and do not contain any "debris."
