Happy Buddha Farm Reviews (2)

My name is Jamie B***, and my company received a complaint from *** *** * (which we believe is not the person's real name by the way). This was a disgruntled customer, who never mentioned anything once to us about his grievancesHe even tipped our chef $after a course meal we provided
from him and his girlfriend, which he told us he enjoyedWe have posted the exact picture of their dinner for your review, which included grass-fed local beef, organic stuffed sweet potatoes, a n organic caprese salad, and a handmade strawberry dessert made just for his girlfriend's birthday. It was only until his departure from our property that we found multiple star reviews on websites (which is the exact opposite of any *** *** reviews and *** reviews we receive)His claims were completely based on opinion, and blatant lies about the condition of our propertyHe also publicly states mine and the Chef's name in numerous social media forums which to us is defamation of character and slander.Because of this, we will not be refunding the customer, as we believe his unnecssary reaction will affect our future businessWe would have loved for him to have talked to us when he was a guest, but he chose the Revdex.com as his first mode of communication for any problems he had, therefore leaving us unable to service his requests or remedy and situation he may have been unhappy with.We find his report extreme and unncessary, considering that most people try to talk to management instead of reporting third parties to resolve issues. This is our official response to the disgruntled customer:Dear ***,We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, as we strive to make every customer happyWe believe if you had expressed your grievances on site, we would have been able to remedy any situation; however, you have chosen this to be the forum that you air out your grievances, leaving us unable to fix any problems you might have had. All additional costs were expressed before delivery of services, and when it came time to pay the bill, we believe that would have been the appropriate time to discuss with us your concerns-- not reporting us to the Revdex.com. Your linens were newly washed by me--the owner-- so I know your claims are untrueWe do not have air conditioning because you are at 1,feet elevation on the mountainside of Hawaii, where we enjoy 50-degree weather regularly and have an open-air layoutHawaii usually has wildlife on a farm, which is posted in every room, so your claim that there are "bugs" crawling on the wall could be mosquitos, ants, and other wildlife; we have farm animals, goats and donkeys that live here as well-- the habitat is rural and rugged, untouched by commercialization and organic--exactly as advertised on our website and the intention of our farm and retreat house. We are NOT a hotel--we are an educational retreat house for people to have an outdoor exprience and learn about nature and the culture of Hawaii, who are invited for an overnight stay.Your dinner was $because it was all organic ingredients with grass-fed local beef with three courses and a handmade dessert which was ordered hours before dinnerYou also ordered our Infusion Waters with organic fruits and an organic smoothieAll ingredients are either imported or locally grown by farmers, so the prices match what the market rate is for a Steak and Potato Dinner, a Salad and dessertIt was prepared by a private chef credentialed in Hawaiian fusion cuisineWe even received a $tip for the dinner--from you-- expressing a completely different message than "unsettling," and "horrible," which you have stated in your Revdex.com review. The day of your departure, you decided to order from an unposted menu (you went on our website, which is a menu only for our nutritional training course)--which you mistakenly thought was our complimentary breakfastI had texted you the evening before (which was the mode of communication chosen to speak with us) to let you know you were ordering off of a menu that was not complimentaryOur standard breakfast includes turkey bacon and eggs and continental breakfast itemsYou ordered organic smoothies, a waffle platter, a pancake platter, a spinach and onion omelette, and scambled eggsFor a $reservation a night, no place in Hawaii can you order all of that "complimentary." The charges were expressed to you in the morning, and you still handed us your card, leaving no dispute, and also hugged us goodbye upon your departure, again with no mention of any problems. This is the complete opposite of the multiple star reviews on other forums we have received from our other customers and we apologize that you didn't have a good stayThe first course of action is not usually reporting a business, but communicating effectively your concerns during your stay--we heard no complaints during your stayTherefore, we will not be refunding your overnight stay or meals, as you have chosen to go on multiple forums to report us, without as*** for a refund on-site. Again, we apologize for the experience, but we find your actions extreme and uncalled forI have attached a picture from *** *** showing our multiple star reviews that we received the same month you stayed from other guestsEveryone else cannot be lying-- I think you may have had expectations that were not suited for an outdoor experience or a farmhouse.Mahalo and we wish you well despite the unsettling slander and defamation of character claims written about myself and the co-owners, which we believe to be simply untrue and unfair.Jamie B***Co-OwnerHappy Buddha Farm*** *** ***
